YOUNG WOLF certainly wasn't winning out of turn at Ludlow and with the third subsequently franking that form with his own chase victory, the Jonjo O'Neill/Richard Johnson representative is fancied to follow up. The Butcher Said has returned an improved animal this year and is the obvious danger following his Huntingdon romp, while King Golan, switching from fences to hurdles, could beat Throckley to third spot. Prediction : 1st Young Wolf 2nd The Butcher Said 3rd King Golan

Duhallow Gesture won in this company two starts ago and is respected off top weight, but handicap debutant MEGA DOUBLE shades the verdict in receipt of 23lb. She placed in a couple of novice events earlier in the year and is likely to have been aimed at this representing local handler James Moffatt. Millie The Minx also merits consideration hailing from a stable that send out plenty of winners at this venue. Prediction : 1st Mega Double 2nd Duhallow Gesture 3rd Millie The Minx

Morning Royalty, Pretty Miss Mahler and Dartford Warbler all boast course-winning form and are respected, as is Justforjames, who is 4lb higher than when scoring on his latest outing at Catterick in February. However, INCHCOLM has been a model of consistency of late and, despite a further 6lb rise for finishing a neck second at Hexham last time, he rates the one to beat. Prediction : 1st Inchcolm 2nd Justforjames 3rd Morning Royalty

Sonic has performed well here in the past, finishing half a length second in a maiden hurdle last June, and must enter calculations on his chasing debut, but preference is for TONTO'S SPIRIT. He boasts two hurdle wins at the Cumbria track and already has some decent fencing form under his belt, chasing home a smart Dan Skelton inmate (subsequently third at Grade 1 level) two starts ago. Carntop is a respected Lambourn raider. Prediction : 1st Tontos Spirit 2nd Sonic 3rd Carntop

THE KINGS BABY fairly bolted up at Stratford last Sunday and, with Martin McIntyre's valuable claim negating the 7lb penalty, she could take some stopping in her bid to follow up. Bocasien Desbois wasn't beaten far off this mark at Hexham two weeks ago and should give another good account, while Brave Spartacus brings winning C&D form to the table and is certainly no forlorn hope. Prediction : 1st The Kings Baby 2nd Bocasien Desbois 3rd Brave Spartacus

Allbarnone won this race from 3lb out of the handicap last year and is respected, but he probably faces a tougher assignment this time around. Robin The Raven and Cairnshill both struck latest and have to be considered, while Stop The World is unlikely to be far away either. However, CANYON CITY's comfortable Haydock success two weeks ago was a career-best performance and a 5lb rise might not be enough to anchor him. Prediction : 1st Canyon City 2nd Robin The Raven 3rd Stop The World

Donald McCain looks to have a couple of solid chances with Wetherby scorer Morraman and Good Tradition, while Becky The Thatcher must come into the reckoning following runner-up efforts at both Hexham and Market Rasen. However, this could be yet another winner for local trainer James Moffatt, courtesy of ALTRUISM. Each of his five NH victories have been recorded at this venue and he warmed up with a solid placed effort at Newcastle last month. Prediction : 1st Altruism 2nd Morraman 3rd Becky The Thatcher
