The penny looked to have dropped in the latter stages of that contest and she forms part of a strong hand for Richard Fahey, along with his Kodiac newcomer Aleneva, who cost 150,000gns at the recent Guineas Breeze-Up Sale to run in the colours of John Dance. Masaakin and Walk In Marrakesh are others to consider representing handlers who do well in this sphere.

The form of DUBAI STATION's Nottingham second on debut took a boost over the weekend when the winner of that Colwick Park contest got closest to impressive Woodcote winner Pinatubo at Epsom. Karl Burke's colt was beaten less than a length following a sluggish start on that occasion and could have plenty of progression in the locker. Richard Fahey won this in 2017 and his Majestic Sands did little wrong when scoring on debut at Leicester, while Partridge was only a nose away from victory at Salisbury on her first outing and could go one better receiving weight from all of her rivals.

Tomahawk Ridge rattled the crossbar over this trip at Redcar last time and is expected to remain competitive following a 3lb rise in the ratings, though narrow preference is for the unexposed TONE THE BARONE. The selection struck on his handicap debut over 6f at Windsor, following a gelding operation, and showed enough speed to think he could go well over this shorter trip. Klopp has been raised 3lb for scoring by a head over 6f at Wolverhampton but is no forlorn hope for a place.

Enough Already took a big step forward when third at Goodwood last July following a modest Ascot debut and Roger Varian's charge is likely to have strengthened up plenty following a 310-day absence from the track. Modakhar catches the eye on debut but has already been gelded, and this might be a good chance for GUANDI to get off the mark. Second at Chester behind the above-average Hero Hero 12 days ago, there appears to be nothing of that calibre in this race and the colt can take advantage now under Richard Kingscote.

GOLDEN JEFFREY shaped much better when second over hurdles at Perth 35 days ago and makes plenty of appeal returned to the Flat now back on his last winning mark in this sphere. The six-year-old can account for Firby, who won at Catterick when last seen for James Bethell and might improve now with Michael Dods, and Thorntoun Care, who could be more competitive now dropped back in distance for trainer Karen Tutty.
