REDROSEZORRO's recent third at Carlisle was a step back in the right direction and on that showing, the son of Foxwedge can take advantage of what appears to be a very winnable contest. Rasheeq only beat two rivals home at Thirsk latest but is better judged on his Nottingham success the time before, while others worth considering are Somewhere Secret and Pickett's Charge.

Any further rainfall would enhance the claims of Tim Easterby's AFANDEM, who bolted up on heavy ground at Carlisle last week. Although testing underfoot conditions would be ideal, he is also proven on faster surfaces so looks sure to go well under a 5lb penalty. Tricky Dicky has successfully been mixing turf with the all-weather and he is likely to give another good account, while John Kirkup rates best of the rest.

Mellad is the only runner in the field to have a taste of racecourse action and Richard Fahey's youngster wasn't disgraced when fourth at Ayr last month. He could build on that as he steps up in trip this time, but preference is for JUAN ELCANO, who cost 360,000gns as a yearling and Kevin Ryan's Frankel colt is related to a couple of decent winners. World Title and Subjectivist represent handlers who often do well in this sphere, with the latter closely related to the useful Sir Ron Priestley.

KYLIE RULES just can't stop winning and arrives here unbeaten in four starts since joining Ruth Carr. She was as good as ever when scoring last week and providing she is just as effective away from her beloved Beverley, will be hard to beat under a 5lb penalty. Fellow Beverley scorer Astrologer may be the biggest danger having looked a decent performer this term and is just 4lb higher than that victory last month, while Mums Hope may have plenty more to come in this sphere and is interesting reverting to turf.

A step up in trip could bring about further improvement in MOTIVATE ME, who is a half-sister to Ebor winner Litigant and was doing her best work at the finish when opening her account at Salisbury last time. Roger Varian's daughter of Motivator cost 180,000 euros as a yearling and has experience on her side for a team firing in some big winners of late. Dubious Affair shaped nicely on debut and the Frankel filly is another who could enjoy the extra yardage this contest presents, while High Above was second over this distance on debut and could build on that Newmarket outing. Sedgefield bumper winner Ahorsewithnoname is another to keep an eye on and could prove an interesting runner in this sphere.
