ZIM BABY ran a huge race on debut, belying odds of 100/1 to chase home a well-fancied Godolphin runner over C&D, and that experience should have done her the world of good. Paul George's inmate is taken to go one better today, although My Motivate Girl has run well to make the frame on both starts to date and looks a big threat. Likewise I'm Digby following two decent efforts at Windsor.
Prediction : 1st Zim Baby 2nd My Motivate Girl 3rd Im Digby

The Lamplighter is respected on his turf return as he drops in class but preference is for USAIN BOAT, who is the highest rated in the field. He is much better than he showed at Windsor latest, when losing the race at the start, and his juvenile form gives him very strong claims in this seller. Hellovaqueen is another sure to appreciate the switch back to grass and being eased in grade.
Prediction : 1st Usain Boat 2nd The Lamplighter 3rd Hellovaqueen

ARTHUR KITT is used to mixing in much better company than this and can open his account for 2019. Tom Dascombe's charge tasted Royal Ascot success in the Listed Chesham Stakes last summer and, while things didn't work out for him in the Group 3 Chester Vase last month, this is a much more realistic assignment and he can get back on the winning trail. Bombyx and What About Carlo look the main threats.
Prediction : 1st Arthur Kitt 2nd Bombyx 3rd What About Carlo

BALLADEER struggled on the all-weather at Wolverhampton latest but has strong claims on his third-placed finishes at Epsom and Newmarket before that and could be worth another chance now back on turf. Thorn is very interesting off an opening mark of 78 after landing a Ffos Las novice stakes over an extended 7f when last seen in September, shaping as though this longer trip would be right up his street. Asian Angel is another respected handicap debutant.
Prediction : 1st Balladeer 2nd Thorn 3rd Asian Angel

A close second on debut last year, VASILIEV ran a big race on his return when third in a Nottingham event that is working out very well, including the winner going on to finish second in the 2000 Guineas. Clive Cox's colt can boost that form further by taking another step forward with a victory here. Al Mureib has run well in second on both starts this term and rates a big threat along with Cadre Du Noir, who showed promise on her debut in the autumn.
Prediction : 1st Vasiliev 2nd Al Mureib 3rd Cadre Du Noir

Nezar is sure to have his supporters after winning well at Wolverhampton over the extended 1m last time out, but a drop in trip and 6lb higher mark could make life tougher on his turf return and the vote goes to SWIFT APPROVAL. A winner off a mark of 91 last year, Stuart Williams' charge has slipped to a rating of 75 and has hinted his turn may be near again of late. Star Shield completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Swift Approval 2nd Nezar 3rd Star Shield

Your Mothers' Eyes did the job in good style over this trip at Brighton 13 days ago but a 6lb rise for that two-length success could make him vulnerable and preference is for ELIKAPEKA, who improved for the switch to a handicap and drop to 7f when a decent fourth at Thirsk last week. Kevin Ryan's charge could have plenty more to come after only four starts and goes off the same mark today. Stepping back up in distance and a sliding mark puts Defence Treaty in the picture.
Prediction : 1st Elikapeka 2nd Your Mothers Eyes 3rd Defence Treaty

A tricky finale but there is plenty to like about the chances of PERFECT SWISS, who has shaped as though he needed further when running well in defeat on both starts over 6f this term and should relish this extra furlong. Alabama Dreaming warrants respect off an opening mark of 67 after hinting at ability in her three qualifying runs, while Lonicera filled the runner-up berth off 1lb lower at Brighton latest and should have her say again.
Prediction : 1st Perfect Swiss 2nd Lonicera 3rd Alabama Dreaming
