Echo went close to a four-timer when runner-up at Doncaster latest and should go well again, but has a further 3lb rise to contend with.

A 4lb rise for his victory over the extended 7f at Chester seems fair for Lincoln Park (also engaged to run at Goodwood yesterday) and Mick Appleby's colt must be considered with previous winning C&D form in the book. However, KINKS drops in class on the back of a half-length defeat in a valuable Newmarket handicap and that form earns him the nod with Sylvestre De Sousa back on board this evening. Golden Circle went close at York on her handicap debut last October and is interesting on her return with scope for improvement.

Sleeping Lion has been knocking on the door and should give another good account, but has no margin for error off his current mark and may just come up short again. CLAIRE UNDERWOOD found a couple too good when bidding to follow up a taking Musselburgh success at Chester latest but wasn't beaten far and has a better chance to adopt her preferred front-running tactics this time around. Caliburn has slipped back down to a fair mark and is another to consider.

Lathom arrives on the back of two close seconds and should give another good account under Graham Lee, but he continues to creep up the ratings and may have to play second fiddle again, this time to ROYS DREAM. The Paul Collins-trained mare has gone up 5lb for a half-length success at Bath but she is entitled to come on plenty for that seasonal debut and may take some catching again. Highly Focussed bids for a hat-trick and a rising mark may not prevent another bold bid.
