SWIFT WING made a promising start to his racing career when third over 1m4f at Ascot, showing that he handles soft ground in the process, and normal improvement will make the John Gosden representative tough to beat. Navajo Pass also made an encouraging introduction at Redcar (7f) in October, finishing two lengths behind recent Newmarket winner Awe, and he warrants plenty of respect stepping up in distance on his reappearance, while Ripon fourth Grenadier Guard is no forlorn hope either.
Prediction : 1st Swift Wing 2nd Navajo Pass 3rd Grenadier Guard

Jockey bookings would suggest that URSULINA is the pick of Tom Dascombe's pair and she gets the vote to make a winning debut. She is a half-sister to Hightime Heroine, who was successful over this trip and also handled soft ground conditions, and connections will be hoping to immediately make back some of the 125,000 euros she was purchased for. Heavens Open (also engaged to run at Carlisle yesterday) is a sister to the Canadian Stakes winner Endless Light and should be a nice filly moving forward, with Woke also respected from the Karl Burke stable.
Prediction : 1st Ursulina 2nd Heavens Open 3rd Woke

Herculean has a lovely, unexposed profile and must enter calculations on his seasonal reappearance, but preference is for the race-fit LORELINA. She performed much better in two starts last month than form figures might suggest and it's worth noting that she has won over a similar trip, on heavy ground, here in the past. Finniston Farm faces much different ground conditions than what he encountered when winning here 18 days ago, but that was his third career victory at the track and he is expected to go well off top-weight.
Prediction : 1st Lorelina 2nd Herculean 3rd Finniston Farm

TEMPUS justified odds-on favouritism in a Wolverhampton maiden over the extended mile last time and is expected to follow up under a penalty. Lyndon B ran well over 7f on his seasonal return at Doncaster and looks the main danger if seeing out this longer distance as Power Player hasn't improved in between runs so far and would be a surprise winner.
Prediction : 1st Tempus 2nd Lyndon B 3rd Power Player

GLOBAL GIFT opened his account at the fourth time of asking on his handicap debut at Carlisle and could feasibly take a 6lb rise in his stride and follow up to notch a quick double. Divinity came up short in a Listed contest at York latest but makes more appeal on her preceding Ripon victory off 4lb lower in April. The pick of the remainder may be Oasis Prince, who makes some appeal on his C&D victory off 3lb lower on his penultimate outing.
Prediction : 1st Global Gift 2nd Divinity 3rd Oasis Prince

MOON KING is 3-3 since being stepped up to this trip this season. Penalised for the latest of those victories, which came by four lengths at Nottingham last week, Ralph Beckett's gelding could feasibly extend his winning sequence. Dorah has been raised 4lb for winning over 1m4f at Leicester but is unexposed over this longer trip, while No Dress Rehearsal is going the right way and merits a market check on her handicap bow.
Prediction : 1st Moon King 2nd Dorah 3rd No Dress Rehearsal

ATALANTA QUEEN kept on well at the finish when second over 7f at Southwell last time and could appreciate the return to 1m, having won over this trip on Fibresand back in April. Beatbybeatbybeat drops from 1m2f after struggling to get home on heavy ground here last Friday and could feasibly figure. Others to consider are Monsieur Jimmy, who went close over 7f at Ayr when last sighted, and the consistent Snooker Jim.
Prediction : 1st Atalanta Queen 2nd Monsieur Jimmy 3rd Beatbybeatbybeat
