Baadirr displayed minor promise when finishing seventh on his debut here last month and he is entitled to improve for that experience. That said, preference is for GOLD SOUK, who is a half-brother to the dual Group 3 winner and Derby second Dee Ex Bee. The son of Casamento also shares his page with Dubai Millennium and he should not be underestimated. Wren merits consideration being out of a Group 1 winner, while Mottrib and King's View are others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Gold Souk 2nd Baadirr 3rd Wren

NARAK is the third foal out of the Group 1 winner Chachamaidee which makes her a half-sister to Klassique, who won a Group 3 over 1m4f at Haydock on Saturday. Her lack of previous race experience is an obvious concern but the daughter of Dubawi still makes plenty of appeal. Qamka displayed lots of promise on her debut at Nottingham and she should be sharper this afternoon, while To The Moon was a bit disappointing on her seasonal return but it is too soon to be writing her off. Kingslady is a half-sister to the four-time Group 1 winner Al Kazeem and is another newcomer to note.
Prediction : 1st Narak 2nd Qamka 3rd To The Moon

TEREBELLUM was an impressive winner on her debut at Goodwood last month and that form was boosted when the second won by six lengths on her next start. The strength of that form suggests that this daughter of Sea The Stars is more than worthy of a crack at this level and she may have more to offer. Antonia De Vega failed to fire on her final start as a juvenile in the Fillies' Mile but it is far too soon to be writing her off and she does set the standard having won a Group 3 last year. Star Terms has already run well at this track twice this season and she is the clear pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Terebellum 2nd Antonia De Vega 3rd Star Terms

VIXEN won her final two starts of 2018 and she confirmed her well-being with a second-placed finish at Nottingham on her seasonal return last month. That form gives the five-year-old a big chance, despite a 3lb rise in the ratings. Leader Writer is another who merits respect following a decent comeback run in recent weeks, while Infanta Isabella and Regimented complete the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Vixen 2nd Leader Writer 3rd Infanta Isabella

URBAN HIGHWAY wasn't beaten far over 6f at Windsor when last sighted in April and is expected to step up on that effort, off this 3lb higher mark, now stepped up in trip. Tulloona has improved between runs in maiden and novice company and is worth a market check on his handicap debut. The pick of the remainder may be Laxmi, who is a potential improver now sporting first-time cheekpieces.
Prediction : 1st Urban Highway 2nd Tulloona 3rd Laxmi

ADMIRALS BAY struck on his handicap debut when stepped up to the extended 1m3f at Yarmouth last time and could be even better suited by this extra yardage as he bids to overcome a 5lb rise. Sapa Inca has been knocking hard on the door and is only 2lb higher than when beaten by a short-head over a similar trip at Windsor last month, while recent 1m2f Nottingham second Group Stage also figures prominently on the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Admirals Bay 2nd Sapa Inca 3rd Group Stage

17:15 Newbury

AMARETTO lost little in defeat when beaten by under a length into second over this trip at Bath last month and is expected to remain competitive off what is still a workable mark. Jumping Jack is entitled to strip fitter for his last run over this trip at Sandown and is feared most, though there could also be a big run in Creative Talent, who had a spin at Chepstow last weekend and is rated only 2lb higher than when winning on the all-weather in March.
Prediction : 1st Amaretto 2nd Jumping Jack 3rd Creative Talent
