Troubador produced a battling display to win on fast ground at Redcar and followed that up with a decent effort on soft at Hamilton. He is likely to be in the mix once more, but may find SPACE ACE too strong. Archie Watson's filly was sent off odds-on for her debut at Chelmsford, evidently suggesting she's been showing plenty at home, and though she could only manage second, that was an encouraging enough performance. Rebel Soldier Boy and Sir Havelock are worthy of market checks on their debut outings.
Prediction : 1st Space Ace 2nd Troubador 3rd Rebel Soldier Boy

Diamond Shower made a promising start to her racing career when third at Redcar last month, but RHOSSILI DOWN could make the long journey from Lambourn a worthwhile one here. Charlie Hills' filly has hit the crossbar on both starts this season, going down by a neck at Wolverhampton before filling the runner-up spot at Goodwood, and has gone well on softer ground in the past too. Newcomer Loretta and the steadily improving Guarded Secret are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Rhossili Down 2nd Diamond Shower 3rd Loretta

Ticks The Boxes had Cosmic Chatter behind when second at Pontefract last time and could go well again off the same mark, while Ventura Secret got within a neck of success at Hamilton and appears to have found his feet this term. Preference, however, is for ALFRED THE GREY, who seemed to benefit from the drop to this mark when third at Ripon latest and could be a major player with Paul Hanagan keeping the ride.
Prediction : 1st Alfred The Grey 2nd Ticks The Boxes 3rd Ventura Secret

It may be worth focusing on the trio of last-time-out winners here, with REDARNA preferred. Dianne Sayer's gelding took a couple of runs to get going this season but won nicely over 7f here last time and shaped as though the extra furlong would suit. Edgar Allan Poe and Chinese Spirit both won narrowly on their respective latest outings, but 5lb penalties for the pair of them look much harsher than the selection's 4lb rise.
Prediction : 1st Redarna 2nd Edgar Allan Poe 3rd Chinese Spirit

SAIKUNG has been running well in defeat this season, including when finishing third in a Newmarket handicap on her latest outing. Running off the same mark here, she could get the better of Prairie Spy, who struggled at Brighton latest but showed up much better at Chelmsford the time before. Praxidice was not disgraced on heavy ground here on her reappearance and could build on that effort now upped from 6f.
Prediction : 1st Saikung 2nd Prairie Spy 3rd Praxidice

DONNELLY'S RAINBOW was beaten a neck and a nose into third at Ayr last time, despite being somewhat slowly away, and a faster break from the gate could see him go two better here. Rosin Box drops in trip after running creditably enough at Newcastle and will be staying on when others have cried enough, while Temple Of Wonder showed up well over 5f at Wolverhampton latest but this will be an altogether different test of his mettle.
Prediction : 1st Donnellys Rainbow 2nd Rosin Box 3rd Temple of Wonder

Majestic Stone showed plenty of grit to score over this course and distance last time and the handicapper may have taken a chance in leaving his mark unchanged, while Sioux Frontier was half a length ahead of Corton Lad when the pair filled third and fourth respectively here last month. MATEWAN could be the answer, as he signed off last term with a pair of victories and though disappointing on his reappearance at Sandown, he may just have needed that outing.
Prediction : 1st Matewan 2nd Majestic Stone 3rd Sioux Frontier

Her form figures don't make the most pleasant reading, but SOLOIST has been getting closer with each start this season and was only beaten three lengths at Ripon last time. A 2lb lower mark could be enough to see William Haggas' filly get the better of Beechwood Jude, who ran a cracker at a massive price on his reappearance but has failed to live up to that in two subsequent starts. Salam Zayed and Brutalab both exceeded market expectations most recently and are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Soloist 2nd Beechwood Jude 3rd Salam Zayed
