VENTURA BAY finished fourth over a mile here last time out and has run well enough in three handicap starts this season to suggest that he can win a race of this nature. Slaithwaite could prove to be the main threat to the selection after picking up some minor money over course and distance earlier in the month. Others to consider are Simon's Smile and X Rated.
Prediction : 1st Ventura Bay 2nd Slaithwaite 3rd Simons Smile

PINK SANDS found only a Royal Ascot-bound rival too good on her debut at Windsor last month and that form was boosted when the third won next time out. Based on that evidence the daughter of No Nay Never could take plenty of beating today. Airbrush is a half-sister to a pair of high-class juveniles and has to be noted on her debut. Aryaaf, Felicia Blue, Hyba and Living In The Past are other newcomers to consider.
Prediction : 1st Pink Sands 2nd Airbrush 3rd Aryaaf

BLACK LOTUS failed to fire in a higher grade against the colts at Doncaster last time out but she had previously won well at the same venue and the four-year-old can be given another chance now competing back against her own sex. Camelot Rakti made an encouraging return to action at Kempton recently and is considered the main danger ahead of Existential and Amber Spark.
Prediction : 1st Black Lotus 2nd Camelot Rakti 3rd Existential

MARK'S CHOICE defied odds of 16-1 when scoring at this track over a furlong further earlier this month, though he deserves respect having now won three of his last four and could confirm placings with the reopposing third, Look Out Louis. The latter is better off at the weights this time, though the selection may be better suited by the drop back to 5f. The thriving Chitra is versatile with regards to ground and is also considered.
Prediction : 1st Marks Choice 2nd Look Out Louis 3rd Chitra

Albert Boy has filled the runner-up berth over this trip on both starts last month and he should give another good account here. Francophilia almost doubled her career tally at Thirsk earlier this month but was just denied, so this can go the way of Tim Easterby's APPOINTED. He outran odds of 12-1 when fourth of 19 at York last Friday and deserves respect as the only course winner in the field.
Prediction : 1st Appointed 2nd Francophilia 3rd War Brigade

Kodiak Attack showed some potential for Sylvester Kirk when fourth on debut at Chelmsford 19 days ago and could take a step forward under Paul Hanagan, while Baldwin is more exposed than most but should enjoy this step back up to six furlongs. Preferred ahead of both, however, is Richard Hannon's MOLAAHETH. He settled better when second at Doncaster in April and could have benefitted plenty from a 53-day break.
Prediction : 1st Molaaheth 2nd Baldwin 3rd Kodiak Attack
