The well-bred Byline is a newcomer that makes a lot of appeal, while similar comments apply to Cotai Again and Jamais Assez.

FASTMAN is getting better with racing this campaign and finished third behind subsequent Listed scorer Space Blues at York's Dante meeting. David O'Meara's colt has only been raised 1lb for that performance and can capitalise at the chief expense of Shanghai Grace, who enjoyed a great start to 2019 on the all-weather but ran well on this surface on debut and has been freshened up. Carlisle victor Howzer Black is the pick of the Keith Dalgleish trio, with Irreverent and Celebrity Dancer also worth some thought.

HAROME was only beaten a length and three-quarters into sixth in the Epsom Dash and makes plenty of appeal here off a 2lb lower mark. The five-year-old was previously sixth behind Duke Of Firenze at York, and can claim an overdue success from his low draw. Jabbarockie was a position behind Lathom but just ahead of Excessable when third at Thirsk last month, and followed that up with an impressive Haydock win on soft just a few weeks later.

QUEEN OF DESIRE struggled to land a blow in the Palace House at Newmarket but drops to the level at which she was successful at Bath two starts ago, and Roger Varian's filly can bounce back to her best. Maid In India gained her first success in this grade at Haydock and appeals as having further progression to come. Heartwarming, third to the selection at Bath in April, appears best of the three-year-old contingency.

Charles Kingsley is respected chasing three wins in a row, but he steps up in class and has a further 6lb rise to deal with. Course winner Fire Fighting remains in decent form despite only managing sixth at Epsom and Colm O'Donoghue is certainly a positive jockey booking, while Sleeping Lion and Grandee also hold claims in a competitive event. However, a chance is taken on INDIANAPOLIS, who was only beaten four lengths off the same mark in a red-hot York handicap last time.

The return to 7f has been the making of Mi Capricho, who dead-heated to complete a Musselburgh brace, and he shows plenty of pace in his races so this trip could suit as well. That said, a further 3lb rise may find him out, whereas the hike for GULLANE ONE's Thirsk success might underestimate the merit of that performance, and he can follow up. Glorious Emaraty made an encouraging start to his handicap career at Haydock, and the reliable Athollblair Boy won't be far away either.
