That said, a chance can be taken with PERFECT CITY, who won the Flat in France and he currently has a rating of 90 on the level. Pacify is another highly-rated Flat performer who could go well this afternoon, while Purple King completes the shortlist.

GRACELAND has won both starts since having a wind operation earlier in the year and a 7lb penalty for the most recent of those victories is unlikely to stop her from taking this contest as well. Cardigan Bay won well over C&D last month and she could give the selection plenty to think about this afternoon. Henrietta Bell and Dieu Benisse are others who could go very well, while Ena Baie should not be discounted either.

CRYSTAL GAZING should know her job on debut given her connections and Nicky Henderson has found the daughter of Sulamani a good opening. Related to several winners in this sphere, including 137-rated hurdler Harambe who finished a close-up third in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree's Grand National meeting last year, she gets the nod ahead of point winner Whatcolourishe and Susie Mac.
