Quiet Place has hit the crossbar on each of her previous three appearances, at odds-on the last twice, but may have to play the role of bridesmaid again, this time behind SERMON. The Tom Dascombe-trained son of Dark Angel caught the eye when third on his Haydock debut, form which was given a significant boost when the winner made the frame in the Norfolk. Execlusive came up short in the Hilary Needler but is a player at this level, as is Dazzling Des.

Superseded has held her own on turf twice since accounting for MISS ENIGMA over C&D in May, and will be hard to beat back on this surface. Miss Enigma has been less impressive on the grass since that meeting but will appreciate the return to Tapeta and is weighted to reverse the form. Society Star and Awarded give David O'Meara a decent hand, and both could play a part in the finish.

Conor McGovern gets on really well with Ollivander and they combined to land a Beverley handicap earlier in the month. On these terms, though, SWISS PRIDE is the one to beat because he dips his toe into claiming waters for the first time and gets 3lb from David O'Meara's charge, despite being rated 2lb superior to him. Journey Of Life is improving steadily for Gary Moore and won't be far away either.

Street Poet numbered Subliminal and Ghazan among his victims when deservedly getting his head in front here a few weeks ago. His honourable performances in defeat prior to that included a three-quarter-length defeat at the hands of Celtic Artisan, though, and he is slightly worse off at the weights. BILLY ROBERTS went down by just a neck at Leicester on his latest appearance and he is 3lb lower on this surface so could be the answer.

Calin's Lad can't be written off on the back of his Pontefract flop, with his narrow C&D defeat prior to that evidence that he is happiest on an artificial surface. Similarly, POET'S PRIDE appears most effective on the all-weather but arrives with less to prove having finished fourth at Thirsk, and a subsequent wind operation could spark the necessary improvement. Rockesbury hasn't been beaten far in all four starts in 2019 so enters the equation as well.

MUTAMAASIK went into plenty of notebooks when a clear second-best behind a Godolphin colt who is rated in the 90s on his Kempton introduction, and natural improvement should be enough for him to make it second-time lucky. Saeed bin Suroor again saddles his main stumbling block, this time in the shape of Thirsk runner-up Military Tactic. Aluqair has a hood fitted for his return and is respected on his encouraging Nottingham debut rather than his subsequent Wolverhampton disappointment, since when he has been gelded.
