Sporting the same colours is Tom Eaves aboard Magic Timing and he is respected for Keith Dalgleish, while Alwaatn Sound and Grimbold are others to note.

Ninjago won gamely in this company at Thirsk and should remain competitive off 3lb higher, while Hard Solution must enter calculations following his neck second in maiden handicap company at Redcar. He has been threatening to win recently, posting three solid efforts in defeat already this month, and remains very well handicapped on his best form.

The step up in distance is unlikely to pose any problems and he could prove to be a cut above these rivals. Spirit Of Lund has placed on his last couple of outings and merits respect along with Philip's Wish, who outran 50-1 odds when third at Thirsk last time.

LADIES FIRST has performed well enough on both her starts at York this campaign and the daughter of Monsieur Bond makes plenty of appeal on this occasion. The booking of David Allan is a notable one, the trainer/jockey combination boasting a 56 percent strike-rate in the last five years on turf (5-9), and she is capable of returning to the winner's enclosure sooner rather than later. Queen Penn has been knocking on the door on her last few starts and is likely to be in contention once again, while the drop in trip might suit Never Be Enough.

Zig Zag Zyggy and Move In Time both like it here, but ONLY SPOOFING caught the eye at Pontefract 17 days ago and is 2-2 at this track. The five-year-old is 5lb below his last winning mark and will appreciate this drying surface.
