Indian Creak has steadily been edging closer to the target with each start thus far and merits consideration, while Diva Kareem, Lawaa and Buy Nice Not Twice add further spice to the race.

LITTLE BOY BLUE has been running consistently well and although he has yet to face the challenges that this track bring, it is encouraging that he boasts solid form at both Bath and Brighton (similarly undulating courses). He shades the verdict ahead of Poetic Force, who struck over 1m at Bath last time, while it would come as no surprise to see Handytalk involved at the finish either.

MAJESTIC MAC makes instant appeal being a past C&D winner and shaped with a great deal of promise when third at Newmarket 12 days ago. Hughie Morrison's charge could be fairly treated off a mark of 77, and may prove too strong for the returning Headland. The latter impressed when scoring at Salisbury in September but might just need the run, while recent Goodwood hero Sir Busker is another to keep an eye on despite an 8lb rise.

HERMOCRATES narrowly failed to land the spoils when a head-second at Bath eight days ago, and could go one better for Richard Hannon and Thore Hammer Hansen. The three-year-old was given an aggressive ride there last time and similar tactics may pay off over this slightly shorter distance. Queen's Soldier handles varying ground and should appreciate this step up in trip, while Ideal Grace is slowly going in the right direction and is another to be interested in.

Stuart Williams won this race with Derek Duval last year and looks poised to repeat the trick with four-year-old ALLEGIANT, who can be forgiven a poor effort at Sandown on soft ground last time out. This drying surface and return to a venue where he last tasted success could really aid his cause, and he can prove too strong for Ashazuri, who has won two of her last three and warrants a second glance, and Hackbridge, who has an unfortunate habit of finding just one too good.
