The drop to 5f could allow the forward-going CRUISING to hang on at the finish and avenge his neck defeat by a fast-finishing odds-on shot at Redcar. David Brown's gelding has looked a handy operator in both outings and could prove popular. Felicia Blue caught the eye when second on debut at Ripon and the Mayson filly could have a part to play if handling the faster ground, while Aberama Gold was much improved when third at Ayr and is foolish to rule out.

GAMESOME bounced right back to his best with a win at Thirsk last time out and, having only failed to get involved on one of his four starts on turf this year, appears set for another leading role. Suwaan often hits the frame without getting his head in front and connections will be hoping that will change with the application of a first-time hood, while the consistent Black Salt and course-and-distance winner Afandem also make appeal, with the latter an encouraging third at Nottingham last month.

BETTY GRABLE backed up her 1m victory at Ayr when striking over this longer trip at Hamilton next time. Wilf Storey's five-year-old has a 5lb rise in the ratings to contend with but could feasibly complete a hat-trick. Red Seeker picked up minor money off this mark over 1m at Redcar last time and can fight it out for the silver medal with Home Before Dusk, who appeared to win a shade cosily over 1m at Newcastle last time.

MARSHAL DAN stayed on in the closing stages when second over this trip at Newmarket last time and remains open to further improvement over 1m. Tukhoom has viable place claims on his second start for David O'Meara after finishing on the heels of the placegetters at Haydock on Thursday, while Zoravan was touched off by only a neck over C&D in the Carlisle Bell consolation race 10 days ago and also looks set for a big run.

ENOUGH ALREADY improved with every start in novice/maiden contests and he could take plenty of beating now switched to handicaps off what appears to be a workable mark. Boston George has a similar profile to the selection and he should not be underestimated, despite having to carry top weight. Others to consider are Gold Arrow and I Am A Dreamer.

DANTE'S VIEW has displayed enough promise in finishing third on both of his previous starts to suggest he can win a race of this nature. Yellow Tiger warrants consideration based on his French form and it would be no surprise to see him improve for the switch to Mark Johnston. Any market support for either of Baladio or Roman Stone would have to be noted.
