AUTRETOT looked on good terms with himself when striking over this trip at Newcastle last time and is expected to hold his own off this 6lb higher mark now switching to turf. Cockalorum kept on in the closing stages when fourth over 1m 1f at York last time and could improve for this additional furlong, while Five Helmets is respected in receipt of a handy weight-for-age allowance and is another for the shortlist.

MYKLACHI landed an apprentice selling handicap at Ripon last month and that victory will have done this unexposed three-year-old the world of good. He is back reunited with title-chasing rider Danny Tudhope now and can strike off just 3lb higher. Neileta has shown plenty of potential in his short career so far for Tim Easterby and warrants respect, while Remmy D returned to form when fourth over this C&D 16 days ago.

NIBRAS AGAIN landed the victory his early season form deserved when scoring in a competitive York handicap last weekend and Paul Midgely's five-year-old has a chance to make a quick follow up off a 5lb higher mark. Primo's Comet (fifth) and Harome (sixth) finished close together when they met over course and distance last time and both require plenty of respect, with the latter running with credit in some hot contests before that.

It has been some time since NICHOLAS T tasted success, but the course-and-distance winner could be primed to strike for local handler Jim Goldie, having gone close at Musselburgh off this rating earlier this week. Summer Daydream won a couple of Listed contests as a two-year-old and is of real interest on her handicap debut stepping up in trip, while Fayez and Smile A Mile have both scored a few times already this season and have to be respected for top yards.

Plenty of these have claims but none more so than GLOBAL SPIRIT, who met trouble in running when a close second at Haydock on Thursday and he should take plenty of beating off the same mark this afternoon. Esprit De Corps failed to fire at York last month but it is far too soon to be writing him off. Pudding Chare followed his win over a mile here in May with a solid effort over C&D last month and he is another who has to be respected.

B FIFTY TWO represents a trainer who won this contest in 2016 and 2017 and has been holding his form well in recent weeks, including when beaten by under a length off this mark at Thirsk last month. National Glory also has strong claims now dropping down from 0-75 level.
