THEGREYVTRAIN was just touched off here in May but made amends under a prominent ride at Chelmsford a few weeks later. She rallied well there in the closing stages, scoring with a bit in hand, and looks tough to be against off just 4lb higher. Course winner Edged Out was a 50-1 runner-up here last month and found one too good at Newbury six days ago, while Layla's Dream is interesting on just her second start for Tony Carroll.

CONSPIRITOR didn't seem to appreciate give in the ground when down the field at Goodwood 31 days ago and looks likely to be much more competitive back on a faster surface. Only beaten four lengths behind Fox Leicester (rated 89) prior to that, he remains lightly raced and could shed his maiden tag. Creek Island won at Hamilton before coming unstuck at Beverley, while Clap Your Hands is worth a second look on his handicap debut.

DESERT LION hasn't been disgraced in his two outings so far, going down narrowly at Kempton on debut before running well when switched to turf at Thirsk. David Simcock's gelding looks likely to play a leading role if in the same form here, and can see off Colonel Slade, who is learning with every appearance. Honey Bear, making her first turf outing, is also respected representing a top yard.

Rose Hip is another who is in good order and the Nottingham winner also picked up a silver medal last time. Holdenhurst could bounce back from his disappointing performance here last month, while Tina Teaspoon is likely to be competitive once again on the evidence of her recent run of form.

OBORNE LADY's victory at Salisbury in May appears to be the standout piece of form and Seamus Mullins' mare can bounce back from pulling up over hurdles at Uttoxeter when last seen. Butterfield has placed on his last couple of starts, including here having benefited from the application of cheekpieces, and must enter calculations, while Filament Of Gold completes the shortlist on his third over C&D two starts ago.
