Ben Vrackie rattled the crossbar in the Duke Of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot, despite missing the break, and is considered the principal threat, though Simon Crisford's Outbox, a Listed second in France recently, is interesting on his handicap debut. The return to 1m6f may well spark a revival from Godolphin representative Secret Advisor, who has only had one outing since winning the 2017 Melrose.

Frankie Dettori gave Beshaayir a brilliant front-running ride when she prevailed in a Curragh Group 2 in May and although the effervescent Italian is riding out of his skin this year and producing some of the best form of his career, he might do well to dictate matters on the selection again here in a tougher heat, and it would come as no surprise to see the reopposing I CAN FLY turn the tables. The Ballydoyle inmate made up plenty of late ground from the rear that day but had been given too much to do by her rider. However, a strong run in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes, on ground slower than she cares for, confirmed she's holding her form well and Ryan Moore is perhaps unlikely to give Frankie quite so much rope on the front end this time. One Master was fourth in the aforementioned Curragh contest before finishing third in the Queen Anne, though she gives the impression her optimum distance may be 7f, rather than a stiff mile.

With that in mind, AL SUHAIL makes plenty of appeal for Charlie Appleby. The son of Dubawi cost 1,100,000gns last year and that was before his half-brother, Telecaster, made his debut and subsequently won the Dante. His dam was second in the Oaks and Irish Oaks and he has a similar profile to Al Hilalee, who won this race 12 months ago for the same connections. Kipling is an obvious threat having found only stablemate Lope Y Fernandez too good on his debut at the Curragh and he is likely to improve for that experience. Mass Media is another with valid form claims, although he could be vulnerable to an improver. Tammani is a half-brother to Listed scorer Solomon's Bay and he is an interesting newcomer, while similar comments apply to Al Madhar, First Receiver and Tsar.

LIGHT AND DARK has displayed promise in three starts in novice company and that includes a third-placed finish over a mile here last month. The drop in trip should not be a problem for him and an opening mark of 82 appears to be workable. Jaleel is another progressive three-year-old who has to be respected, having got off the mark over C&D almost three weeks ago. Tommy Taylor is not the most regular of winners but he is capable of making the frame in a race of this nature.

ORVAR's last couple of efforts, including his fourth-placed finish in the Rockingham at the Curragh latest, have suggested that the six-year-old is coming back to form. He did not get the clearest of runs in the aforementioned contest and faces an easier test today. Lord Riddiford finished a place behind the selection at the Curragh and could be hot on his hooves again, while Shamshon and Tropics are others to consider.
