Diamonique is an obvious threat having hit the crossbar at Haydock last time out, while Seen The Lyte also merits respect.

The promising four-year-old has been allotted an opening mark of 84 and that appears to be very fair given the strength of his form. Noble Prospector should get off the mark soon based on some decent efforts in defeat, but preference has to be for COUNTRY. The son of Dubawi has been gelded since getting the job done with ease at Redcar earlier in the season and he can defy his 7lb penalty. Point Taken is another proven winner but he will have to improve upon his most recent effort to beat the selection.

DEW POND was only denied by a short head at Catterick at the beginning of the month and the switch from blinkers to first-time cheekpieces could help him provide his supporters with some valuable compensation. Strategic is only 1lb higher than when winning at Musselburgh and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Jan De Heem and Myklachi.
