Love So Deep finished a couple of places behind the selection at Ascot and she should not be underestimated. Blue Gardenia drops in grade, having struggled in the Oaks, and she is the pick of the remainder.

The shortlist is completed by Gold At Midnight and Cartmell Cleave.

INDEED built on a fine second in the Spring Cup at Newbury on his debut for Dominic Ffrench Davis when scoring in a Chelmsford handicap last month. The son of Showcasing went up 4lb for that success and appeals as having further improvement to come with his prominent style of racing suited to the July Course. Petrus has enjoyed a fairly consistent season, bar a disappointing effort on soft ground in the Royal Hunt Cup, and is respected on his third in a competitive Sandown handicap a fortnight ago, while the three-year-old Global Gift could have more to give.

KING ADEMAR was first past the post at Windsor before being disqualified and placed second for hanging violently across the track. Despite his quirks, it would be disappointing were he unable to get off the mark on this occasion, as this does not appear to be a strong contest. Knightfall, a half-brother to the admirable sprinter Take Cover, could make an impact on his racecourse bow, while Lope Scholar is expected to take a step forward from her debut fifth at Chelmsford.

DURRELL improved for the step up to 1m2f when landing a maiden at Chelmsford last month and promises to be suited by the stiff nature of this track now making his handicap debut. Qarasu is improving with experience and looks the main danger after breaking his duck over 1m2f at Windsor when last sighted. The pick of the remainder may be Ironclad, a recent maiden winner at Beverley who is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Mirage Dancer.

Glenn Coco is rated only 3lb higher than when striking over this trip on the Rowley Mile in May and commands respect, though narrow preference is for lightly-raced three-year-old QUTOB, who struck in a distance maiden at Chelmsford last time and appears to be on a workable mark now making his handicap debut. Daddy's Daughter is open to further improvement over this trip and is expected to show up well, despite an 8lb rise for scoring at Salisbury.
