Both Sir Mark Prescott runners have shown little in novice events over much shorter but perhaps Whims Of Desire will be a big player with Luke Morris aboard, while Platform Nineteen showed tremendous improvement for the step up to this trip at Catterick and could have more to give. KENSINGTON ART gets the vote, though, as he ran a cracker to be second here last time and the extra distance of this could suit.
Prediction : 1st Kensington Art 2nd Platform Nineteen 3rd Whims Of Desire

Dream Kart scored with any amount in hand at Windsor two starts ago and was then far from disgraced under a welter burden in a nursery at Lingfield. Three Coins won on debut but didn't follow up well in a competitive event here. Both have claims, but STARS IN THE NIGHT has shown plenty of promise so far and the 4lb she receives from those rivals could prove crucial.
Prediction : 1st Stars In The Night 2nd Dream Kart 3rd Three Coins

GINGER JAM has won three of his last four, including back-to-back successes over this course and distance. Nigel Tinkler's gelding is up 8lb for those two recent wins but can get the better of Afandem, who has gone close the last twice at Carlisle so should relish this similarly stiff 5f test. Red Pike has a length to make up on Afandem on that recent run, but he is 3lb better off. Gamesome has claims on form, but his draw is terrible.
Prediction : 1st Ginger Jam 2nd Afandem 3rd Red Pike

With a handful of last-time-out winners in the field, this looks a fiercely competitive heat. Allux Boy was the most impressive of those when bolting up at Wolverhampton, but he seems to save his best for that surface. Zihaam won over C&D three starts ago and struck again at Carlisle last time, while Billy Roberts scored here earlier in the month and was then second at Ripon on Saturday. Preference, though, is for BOLLIN TED, who went close in a lady riders' event over track and trip and gets another chance off the same mark.
Prediction : 1st Bollin Ted 2nd Zihaam 3rd Billy Roberts

Saisons D'Or won over this trip four starts ago and has been running well in three starts over a mile since, while I Am A Dreamer can be forgiven his poor effort last time as that came in a hot handicap at Newmarket's July meeting. Kylie Rules has won her fair share at this venue but might be in the handicapper's grip, so LAMLOOM gets the vote, as he won well at Ayr two starts ago and returns to this distance after struggling in the Carlisle Bell.
Prediction : 1st Lamloom 2nd Saisons DOr 3rd I Am A Dreamer

RELIGHT MY FIRE may not be the force he once was, but he has won four times at this track in the past. Tim Easterby's charge hinted that a return to something like his best form of recent years was in the offing when fourth here last time and the veteran can strike. Fard went close at Carlisle but remains a maiden after 16 career starts, while Shamaheart wasn't that far away at Thirsk and completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Relight My Fire 2nd Shamaheart 3rd Fard

BIGBADBOY chased home Zihaam (who runs earlier on this card) over C&D and a 1lb rise looks generous considering his half-length conqueror has won again since. Blyton Lass took a selling handicap at Thirsk and is only 1lb higher, while Brutalab got within a length of success here but will need things to fall right from his extremely wide draw. Hamilton second Don't Be Surprised is another to note.
Prediction : 1st Bigbadboy 2nd Brutalab 3rd Blyton Lass
