Staged Engagement is a consistent performer who is likely to be thereabouts, while Featherinyourcap looks the pick of the remainder.

Castle North and SOLDIER AT WAR are evenly matched according to ratings but the latter shades the vote. Gordon Elliott's gelding arguably boasts the stronger form of the pair, having finished second to the useful Stratum at Ballinrobe in May, and a more forceful ride on this occasion, compared to his third at Roscommon a fortnight ago, can see him take a step forward. The aforementioned Castle North got off the mark over 2m4f here and looks the main danger, while Generator City has form with the selection, having placed behind him at Sligo in April, which could put him into the mix.

KILBARRY LILLY's fifth in a Punchestown Festival handicap two starts ago appears the standout piece of form in this contest. She shaped at Killarney (2m1f) on her subsequent outing as though the step back up in distance would play to her strengths, and could prove too strong for the likes of Graineyhill, who returns to timber after a couple of disappointing efforts over fences, and the consistent Trans Wood, who has finished second on her last four starts.

PUMP ROAD caught the eye when second at Roscommon earlier this month and looks ready to strike now for Mark Michael McNiff. The seven-year-old only has a 2lb rise to try and defy and could prove too strong for Allduckornodinner, a consistent performer representing an in-form stable. Tungsten Kid was second at Tipperary under Davy Russell 19 days ago and can run well again.

Rian Thomas is likely better than what he showed in two bumpers last season and could reap the benefits of a 346-day break, while Good Reception represents some powerful connections and should have learnt plenty from his first outing under Rules last month. Third the last twice at Punchestown and Roscommon, he shaped with much promise on both occasions and can take this before learning his trade over hurdles.
