EMBOUR has improved this year and the four-year-old arrives on the back of a respectable effort in a valuable handicap at Ascot 10 days ago. Watchable is another with strong form claims, while Katheefa also makes the shortlist.

A half-brother to four winners and out of a French Group 2 winner, he can take a big step forward here.

MAXIMUM EFFECT cost 120,000gns and is a half-sister to Kachy, who set the track record at Lingfield on Polytrack over 5f at Easter. This three-year-old looked green on debut at Lingfield when last seen in December, but should have learnt plenty from that and has Frankie Dettori on board this time. Ghaziyah got off the mark at Thirsk earlier this month and could take another step forward, while newcomer Harbour City could be worth following over the coming months.

CHATHAM HOUSE is a nine-race maiden and probably not the easiest of rides, but he caught the eye when fourth at Chester 10 days ago and could strike now under Ryan Moore for just the second time. The three-year-old has his third start since being gelded, and has been located a suitable opening. Shawaaheq got off the mark at Beverley last month but will need to improve now tackling handicap company, while Characteristic shouldn't be too far away.

MURHIB has some reasonable form on Polytrack and wasn't disgraced when third at Salisbury last month on what was just his second start on turf. A past course winner, he won't mind this step up in trip and has a handy low draw under all-weather supremo Luke Morris. Thresholdofadream has been successful in two of her last four starts and warrants a second glance off 4lb higher, while Steel Helmet is also worth considering.
