MOTAKHAYYEL was an impressive winner of a handicap at Newmarket's July meeting, with Flashcard behind him in second, and a 6lb rise might just underestimate the true ability of Richard Hannon's colt. Wings Of Time also won at the same meeting as the selection, when displaying a good attitude, and, on the evidence of that effort, will be suited by the stiffer test on offer. Beatboxer won a valuable handicap at Haydock two starts ago and can be more competitive on this occasion than he was in the Britannia over C&D at the Royal meeting.

RIPP ORF was poorly positioned when sixth behind Vale Of Kent in the Bunbury Cup but he's back on the same mark he won off over C&D in September and is expected to go well at his favoured stomping ground. Arbalet has dropped 3lb lower than when finishing a close-up second to Burnt Sugar in this contest 12 months ago and has each-way possibilities along with improving Roger Varian inmate Mubhij and Lake Volta, who kept on well for second in the Scottish Stewards' Cup.

ENABLE clearly sets the standard having confirmed her wellbeing with a victory on her seasonal return in the Eclipse earlier this month. That said, the dual Arc winner will have to be at her very best if she is going to regain her crown, having won this race back in 2017. That is because Crystal Ocean appears to have improved this year, judging by his impressive victory in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes here last month, and the five-year-old is arguably better over this extra couple of furlongs. Anthony Van Dyck's defeat in the Irish Derby can be forgiven, as the pacemaker stole the race from the front, and he is better judged on his Epsom Derby victory. The son of Galileo will have to improve to beat the likes of Enable and Crystal Ocean but he is arguably best of the rest, especially as he is likely to improve for the application of first-time cheekpieces.

SUBJECTIVIST won as he pleased at Chelmsford on his third start, having kept good company on his two outings at Haydock prior to that victory. He finished second on both occasions behind the Superlative Stakes one-two, Mystery Power and Juan Elcano, and, on those performances, he should have no issue stepping up to Listed company. Sun Power ran well when fourth in the Chesham over C&D and has to enter calculations along with Newmarket novice winner Al Dabaran and Maxi Boy, who was third in the aforementioned Superlative.

BIG STORM COMING has been in rude health of late and John Quinn's nine-year-old looks to have a great chance of landing a quick-fire hat-trick if proving just as effective away from Epsom. Normandy Barriere was involved at the finish here earlier this month and comes into calculations off the same mark, having won at this venue twice in the past, while track-and-trip winner Shady Mccoy and recent Leicester scorer Fieldsman are others to note.
