SPANISH ANGEL left a mediocre debut a long way behind when making Dream Shot pull out all the stops at Goodwood, and the winner gave the form a big boost when going on to occupy the runner-up berth in a Listed heat. Andrew Balding's colt is preferred to Ventura Flame, who probably performed as well as could be expected in the Queen Mary, in between second placings at Carlisle and Musselburgh. Ocasio Cortez ran well in last week's Super Sprint and completes the shortlist.

Kitcarina made the best possible start to her British career when doing it from the front at Kempton. Those tactics will suit her well here but the form is nothing special so she is passed over in favour of ARLETTA STAR, who has put in a couple of good efforts in defeat since her breakthrough triumph and there should be more to come. Pontefract scorer Cale Lane held her own in better company at Newmarket latest and Bell Heather is respected too.

Powerallied fought off Bellevarde here last time but had to play second fiddle to Canford Bay the time before. GABRIAL THE DEVIL might be Richard Fahey's main hope, though, as the four-year-old has got better with each run this campaign and peaked with a hard-fought Haydock success off just 4lb lower three weeks ago. Angel Alexander finished fifth in a C&D event won by Gabrial The Saint two starts ago but bounced back to take second at Pontefract last time.

This looks all about LITIGIOUS, who made a big impression when scoring by six lengths on her debut over 1m2f at Goodwood. Providing John Gosden's filly handles this unique track, she ought to follow up. Inclyne is better than her showing on soft ground at Salisbury last month and is unlikely to be far away if running to her mark of 78, while Say Nothing, rated 5lb lower, is also capable.

SALAM ZAYED has impressively notched a C&D/Nottingham double and, despite a further 6lb rise, he might be able to complete the hat-trick under top apprentice Harrison Shaw. Friendly Advice also showed an ability to handle this track when runner-up over 6f latest and he can remain competitive off just 1lb higher, while Revich won here last summer and arrives on the back of an all-the-way victory at Epsom.

BERRAHRI claimed a 14th career success on fast ground at Salisbury a fortnight ago and could be dangerous once more here if allowed to dictate matters. The eight-year-old might just have one more victory in him before the handicapper catches up. Diocletian returned to form when second at Sandown last month but may prefer slower ground, while Miss Ranger likes it here and is lurking at the bottom of the weights.

Gabrial The One was second in a better race here a fortnight ago but might just be outpaced dropped to 10 furlongs, while Dark Lochnagar is another who might prefer a bit further but remains in good form having finished second at Hamilton earlier this month. Handicap newcomers Better Than Ever and NORMA make most appeal, with marginal preference for the latter. She struggled on good to soft ground at Goodwood last time and is fancied to do much better now.
