URSA MINOR shaped with a fair amount of promise when runner-up on his debut over C&D a month ago and John Gosden's colt can put that experience to good use against a whole host of well-bred individuals. The pick of those are Military March, a son of New Approach out of a Yorkshire Oaks winner in Punctilious, and Jacksonian, whose half-brother is a Group 3 winner in Australia.
Prediction : 1st Ursa Minor 2nd Military March 3rd Jacksonian

GREAT ORDER was disappointing in two starts last season, but he could easily return to his best having been gelded since his last appearance at York in October and it seems notable that connections have persisted with him. Rise Hall has kept on improving this term and was only denied by an ice-cool Jamie Spencer ride on Escobar at York a fortnight ago, while Herculean could take a step forward from his return at Sandown.
Prediction : 1st Great Order 2nd Rise Hall 3rd Herculean

FABULIST ran as though the drop to 7f would play to her strengths at Ascot having faded tamely after travelling strongly for the majority of the contest. The daughter of Dubawi might just get her own way, at a track that favours front runners, and is taken to bounce back to winning ways at a course she enjoyed success at last month. Breathtaking Look and Dupioni appear the most solid threats to the selection.
Prediction : 1st Fabulist 2nd Breathtaking Look 3rd Dupioni

Pass The Vino made a winning switch to turf when successful over track and trip earlier this month and has to be respected in search of a hat-trick following a 5lb rise. Cristal Breeze should have more to come in handicaps and placed off this figure last time, while Windsor winner Revolutionise makes appeal now returned to six furlongs. Northern raiders have taken the last four renewals of this race and Nigel Tinkler's course-and-distance winner Princess Power and Julie Camacho's Lorton fly the flag for the region this time. However, preference is for Ed Walker's SWINDLER, who made a winning reappearance over this trip on his handicap debut earlier this month and could have lots more up his sleave in the assessed ranks.
Prediction : 1st Swindler 2nd Pass The Vino 3rd Revolutionise

Shabeeb is better than what he has shown so far for Ian Williams and has dropped to a tempting mark of 92, while African Jazz, who hasn't raced so far this season, is interesting given that he is unexposed over this trip. That said, it might take a good one to account for Martyn Meade's impressive Chester winner INFRASTRUCTURE. A 2lb rise doesn't look at all harsh for that and he is open to further progress, going up in distance and back on rattling quick ground.
Prediction : 1st Infrastructure 2nd African Jazz 3rd Shabeeb

Laith Alareen won his last four starts in 2018 and he has to be respected, although the 353-day break is a big concern. With that in mind, preference is for SHAMSHON, who is only 2lb above his last winning mark and his form figures at this (July) track read 1313. Jack The Truth has won twice recently and he is another to note, despite being a beaten favourite last time out.
Prediction : 1st Shamshon 2nd Jack The Truth 3rd Laith Alareen

SEDUCTIVE MOMENT won impressively at Windsor on Monday and he will be hard to beat if reproducing that form, despite having to carry a 6lb penalty. Assembled failed to fire last time out but he had previously won a novice race, also at Windsor, and it is far too soon to be writing him off. Others to consider are Crimewave, Algaffaal and Society Guest.
Prediction : 1st Seductive Moment 2nd Assembled 3rd Crimewave
