LIL ROCKERFELLER was relentless in this contest 12 months ago when powering away to a 15-length victory and, despite a hefty rise in the ratings, it would be no surprise to see him repeat the dose today. Dubawi Fifty rarely runs a bad race and was only denied by a head in the Northumberland Plate at the end of last month, while others to consider include True Destiny, Timoshenko and Fun Mac.
Prediction : 1st Lil Rockerfeller 2nd Dubawi Fifty 3rd True Destiny

Eminence was far from disgraced when third at Royal Ascot and is weighted to finish on the premises but preference is for hat-trick seeker DURSTON, who won cosily at Chester last time and is expected to take a 6lb rise in his stride. Sir Ron Priestley returned to winning ways at Haydock and commands respect for a stable who have won three of the last seven runnings of this contest, while Le Don De Vie is worth a market check on his first start for Hughie Morrison and John Gosden's Kosciuszko could be on a workable mark on his handicap debut.
Prediction : 1st Durston 2nd Sir Ron Priestley 3rd Eminence

Liberty Beach built on her Queen Mary fourth to land the Listed Dragon Stakes at Sandown earlier this month and makes plenty of appeal once again. However, the unbeaten MAVEN appears hard to oppose having thrived in Group 3 company in France and because the US raider has the assistance of Frankie Dettori this time. Fan Club Rules was fourth in that Chantilly contest and is respected along with stable companion Wheels On Fire.
Prediction : 1st Maven 2nd Liberty Beach 3rd Fan Club Rules

It took a drop back to 7f on a trip to France to get TOO DARN HOT's season back on track, but with his comfortable Prix Jean Prat victory now behind him, John Gosden's 2018 champion two-year-old is expected to kick on and make up for lost time, having previously been beaten in the Dante, Irish 2,000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes this year. Circus Maximus emerged victorious in the latter race and could put up most resistance, while Lord Glitters commands respect after landing the Queen Anne and could reward each-way support.
Prediction : 1st Too Darn Hot 2nd Circus Maximus 3rd Lord Glitters

FLIPPA THE STRIPPA has to concede weight to all of her rivals but her eighth behind Raffle Prize in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot is the best form on offer and there could be more to come. That form took a boost at Newmarket's July Meeting and she finished ahead of the reopposing Daughter In Law. She also beat the reopposing Electric Ladyland (fourth) when winning the National Stakes at Sandown and should prove too good for Super Sprint third Mighty Spirit and the progressive Mrs Bouquet.
Prediction : 1st Flippa The Strippa 2nd Mighty Spirit 3rd Mrs Bouquet

THIMBLEWEED was last seen in Listed company when down the field at Ascot over 1m6f in October. However, she has subsequently had a wind operation and that, along with the drop in trip, could see the daughter of Teofilo back to winning ways. Mannaal warrants plenty of respect having gone up 5lb for her Windsor success earlier this month, while Nearooz represents the same owners and could reverse Chester form with Ocala having not had the clearest of passages that day.
Prediction : 1st Thimbleweed 2nd Mannaal 3rd Nearooz

Lyndon B overcame trouble in running to score over 1m at Leicester last time and is expected to give a good account, off this 7lb higher mark, over this shorter trip. For win purposes, however, preference is for unexposed Godolphin runner LIGHT AND DARK, who won impressively on his handicap bow at HQ recently (with La Maquina behind in second and Dirty Rascal back in third) and his stable has undergone something of a form revival in recent weeks. Charles Molson, Blackheath and Revich are others to consider in an open heat.
Prediction : 1st Light And Dark 2nd Lyndon B 3rd Blackheath
