Willie Mullins won this contest last year and his Dandy Mag is worthy of close consideration on his first outing since the summer of 2017, while From Eden has picked up a silver medal on all three starts over the larger obstacles thus far and has experience on his side.

ZERO TEN thrived over course and distance when scoring in comfortable fashion on his fencing debut earlier this week and is pitched straight into Graded company by handler Emmet Mullins as he looks to make a quick follow-up. Willie Mullins won this race with Rathvinden in 2017 and has a strong hand with popular veteran Wicklow Brave, who took to fences well when winning at Ballinrobe in May, and Robin De Carlow. The Grade 3-winning hurdler has enjoyed herself over the larger obstacles so far, triumphing by a combined 17 lengths in two appearances. Impressive Red Rum Handicap winner Moon Over Germany leads Henry De Bromhead's challenge, with Tipperary victor Jan Maat a handy second string to the handler's bow.

Honor Oak was an emphatic eight-length winner of this race last season but the seven-year-old faces a tougher task this time from a 9lb higher mark. That opens the door for YUFTEN, who went close on his first outing for Denis Hogan at Killarney and can turn the tables on the winner of that contest, Master Speaker, on the revised terms. Ger Lyons' consistent performer Tony The Gent, who has tasted success here in the past, was third on that occasion and could prove popular, while Waitingfortheday has been handed a 6lb rise for his recent Curragh triumph but is respected nonetheless.

SURROUNDING has to give weight to all of her rivals, having won a Group 3 at Fairyhouse on her most recent outing, but she brings the most solid recent form to the table and has an ideal draw in stall one to strike. Hand On Heart is likely to be more competitive on this occasion in first-time cheekpieces, having only beaten a couple of rivals home at Royal Ascot, while Titanium Sky and Fire Fly appear best of the remainder.

DOCTOR DUFFY ran an excellent race when attempting to give 10lb to Peregrine Run, who has been a prolific winner this summer, at Cork on his most recent start and a replication of that performance back against novices is likely to suffice. Ash Hill boasts some decent bumper form and made a pleasing start to his hurdling career at Punchestown in June, while Foveros could benefit from the step up in trip with the form of his second at Ballinrobe receiving a boost when the winner of that contest ran well here on Monday.

A typically competitive renewal in which Willie Mullins, who has won two of the last three, looks to have a strong hand. Sayo makes his first start since finishing third in last year's Triumph Hurdle but you'd be brave to write him off, while Stratum and Riven Light, two from three on the level here, boast more obvious claims. However, Paul Townend has seemingly opted to ride SHANNING, and it could be her who comes out on top. She is still unexposed, has won at the track and arrives following a confidence-boosting success at Killarney two weeks ago. Davids Charm arrives in much better form than last year and should be competitive, while Band of Outlaws, Sole Pretender and Chosen Mate add further spice to the race.

One Cool Poet is respected following Tuesday's extended 1m success but stall 18 makes life tricky and, much better placed in box three, LUSIS NATUREA gets the vote. He was hugely impressive when winning an apprentice handicap at Down Royal recently and, despite a 6lb penalty, he's effectively only 1lb worse off as Joey Sheridan can claim his full 7lb rather than the 2lb he took off last time. Chaparral Dream, drawn down the middle in 10, also merits consideration on his return to Flat duty.

The form of BALLYLIG's debut third at Down Royal looks rock solid, with the winner a very exciting prospect and the runner-up successful twice since. He has took no backwards step leaving Stuart Crawford to join John McConnell and, with top amateur rider Jamie Codd aboard, he is fancied to mount a bold bid. Tudors Glory has improved with each start thus far and should be on the premises, while All Those Years, Valley Breeze and Ooksoo are other names to note.
