Manuela De Vega wasn't disgraced in the Irish Oaks a fortnight ago but wouldn't want the ground to be too firm, while South Sea Pearl is also noted.

Charlie Hills won this contest with a progressive three-year-old in Magical Memory in 2015 and he bids to repeat the feat with KHAADEM. He follows a different route having tackled Pattern company on his last couple of starts and, on his handicap bow, makes plenty of appeal. Lake Volta is likely to give him a decent tow into the race on the far side, while Flavius Titus, Air Raid, Summerghand and Justanotherbottle are others who boast leading credentials.

KING OF ATHENS was not disgraced in the Coventry at Royal Ascot last time and he had only found the winner of that race, Arizona, too good in a maiden at the Curragh on his debut. A reproduction of either of those performances would give the son of War Front a big chance. Great Ambassador has hit the crossbar in both previous starts and he should be in the mix, while Berkshire Rocco caught the eye on his debut and is another to note.

LAND OF LEGENDS won in good style on his handicap bow against older horses at Newmarket in June and a 5lb rise appears very fair for Saeed bin Suroor's colt. Marhaba Milliar represents a team who can do very little wrong at present and arrives following a victory at Yarmouth, while Bayroot, Blown By Wind and Hero Hero are others worthy of consideration.
