Silverturnstogold is another whose most recent form offers plenty of encouragement, especially his second at Kempton two starts ago. Alexandria remains unexposed and she should not be discounted, while Soaring Spirits and Accomplice complete the shortlist.

WREN, who is out of a Group 1-winning mare, accounted for a useful rival when making a successful racecourse debut at Kempton in June and she is clearly the one to beat this evening. Commit No Nuisance has displayed promise in both previous starts and he is likely to be the main threat to the selection. Others to note are Forus, Passing Fashion and Wailea Nights.

MAGICAL RIDE did not appear to relish the quick turnaround when a beaten favourite last time out but he can be given another chance today based upon his previous victories. Kyllachys Tale has to be respected following her recent win at Chepstow, especially as she is only 3lb higher in the ratings for this. Smokey Lane and Grey Galleon are the pick of the remainder.

Bay Watch has won twice in the last 10 days and has to be taken seriously in his hat-trick bid, but a 10lb rise isn't ideal and that might just stop him in his tracks. Chikoko Trail won at this venue off 7lb lower last month but his progress was halted at Sandown a fortnight later, so this can go to handicap debutant THREEFEETFROMGOLD. He has shown plenty of promise in three maiden starts and might be fairly treated off an opening mark of 65.

Al Daayen made her stable debut a winning one at Wolverhampton last month and shouldn't be far away once more, but a chance can be taken on SIR CANFORD, who made it fourth time lucky when upped to 1m2f in June. Another two furlongs shouldn't be an inconvenience and a 5lb rise doesn't look too harsh given he's open to more improvement. Givepeaceachance and Zamperini can also get competitive.

WHIMSICAL DREAM broke her duck when staying on well over course and distance last month and the lightly-raced filly could have plenty more to come in the handicap ranks off a 3lb higher mark. Shifting Gold was another on the scoresheet last time and is interesting tried at this trip despite disappointing on his sole attempt at the distance previously. Estrela Star ran well on his first attempt in a handicap at Salisbury and this yardage appears perfect, while Molotov was a bit further back at Salisbury, but can't be completely discounted.

This match could turn into a procession for AL RAYA, who built on his neck defeat on debut in a Nottingham maiden to run with credit in both the Group 2 Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and the Listed Dragon Stakes at Sandown last time. The form of both those outings have been franked in recent weeks and Simon Crisford's 450,000 pounds buy should have too much for Archie Watson's Society Rock newcomer Band Practice.
