The one piece of recent form that stands out is ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR's success at Beverley. Though it was only a narrow margin of victory on the Westwood, Ruth Carr's gelding met all sorts of trouble in running but still won so he could be good value for a 3lb rise. Jessie Allan got within three-parts of a length of success at Ayr last time and is interesting down in trip, while admirable veteran B Fifty Two is always worth a second glance in races of this nature.
Prediction : 1st Oriental Splendour 2nd Jessie Allan 3rd B Fifty Two

REQUINTO DAWN bounced back to form with a close second at Pontefract last time and Richard Fahey's gelding can go one better here. Kenny The Captain has been dropped 2lb for his fourth at Hamilton latest and that looks generous considering his third at the same Scottish venue the time before. Ventura Secret has a pair of recent runner-up efforts at this track to his name, so it may be worth forgiving him a recent poor performance at Ayr.
Prediction : 1st Requinto Dawn 2nd Kenny The Captain 3rd Ventura Secret

Tenax was a shade disappointing when third of six at York last time but a 1lb drop could help him make amends, while Beryl The Petal's bid for a hat-trick was scuppered at Pontefract, though she cannot be completely ruled out. Gale Force Maya was a good winner over C&D latest and has claims off 6lb higher, but LOOK OUT LOUIS has been plying his trade in better company than this of late and could just prove too strong.
Prediction : 1st Look Out Louis 2nd Tenax 3rd Gale Force Maya

A trio of last-time-out winners in Indomeneo, Anif and Bob's Girl all merit respect, particularly the latter who got up late to score at Beverley. Time Easterby has a pair of challengers in Ghayyar and Bollin Ted, but preference is for his uncle Mick's KANNAPOLIS. Only headed in the closing stages at Ripon last time, the four-year-old could improve for the extra furlong here and go one better.
Prediction : 1st Kannapolis 2nd Bobs Girl 3rd Ghayyar

REDARNA won with plenty in hand under tonight's rider at Ascot last time and a 6lb higher mark looks fair considering the manner of that success. Dianne Sayer's charge has a C&D win to his name this season and he could add another here. Oud Metha Bridge is not the most consistent but has two wins in his last four, while Pickett's Charge was only a head away from success at Beverley last week and warrants respect under Megan Nicholls.
Prediction : 1st Redarna 2nd Picketts Charge 3rd Oud Metha Bridge

PERLA BLANCA relished the step up to this sort of trip when coming clear at Doncaster last time and a hat-trick looks on the cards here. Tonto's Spirit hasn't run on the Flat for a long time but his form over fences recently gives him a chance, while Ripon winner Stormin Norman and Tawseef, who sandwiched a Nottingham win between two decent third-placed finishes, merit respect.
Prediction : 1st Perla Blanca 2nd Tontos Spirit 3rd Tawseef

BREATHABLE was hugely impressive when winning by over four lengths at Pontefract and Tim Easterby's decision to bring him out under a 5lb penalty can be rewarded. Itlaaq can be forgiven for needing his first outing since last August when well beaten at York in June and could come on for that run, while Thorntoun Care followed up a Beverley success with a neck defeat at Musselburgh on Friday and might be better dropped slightly in trip.
Prediction : 1st Breathable 2nd Itlaaq 3rd Thorntoun Care
