With that in mind, a 3lb rise in the ratings appears to be extremely fair and the daughter of Showcasing is very hard to oppose. Bungee Jump won twice earlier in the season and she should not be discounted, while Alicia Darcy completes the shortlist.

GRANDFATHER TOM's Nottingham success four weeks ago was boosted when the second scored at Pontefract on Wednesday and Robert Cowell's charge can defy a 6lb rise. He can still race in 0-75 company for the time being and this is another nice opening before he has to move up in class. Restless Rose was beaten by a course specialist when fifth at Beverley last month but has dropped to a tempting mark, while King Robert should find this easier than his Goodwood assignment last week.

SASH was a cosy winner here four weeks ago and followed that performance up when fourth at Ascot in a better event just 12 days later. Amanda Perrett's charge returns to this venue in calmer shores and might not have stopped improving yet. He is preferred to Spirit Warning, who is tough and consistent, and Mr Tyrrell, who wasn't disgraced in a competitive Goodwood handicap latest.

Anniemation was much improved when a winner on his second outing at Musselburgh and looks to follow up. However, preference is for WALLABY, who has caught the eye in her opening outings over seven furlongs and could thrive now upped to a mile. Berkshire Savvy was thrown in at the deep end on debut and may find this easier, with Dean Ivory's newcomer Alsukar another to keep an eye on.

ARCTIC SEA had no luck at all at Sandown recently when attempting to follow up his course victory and Paul Cole's five-year-old is given the chance to bounce back stepping up in trip off a workable mark. Rocksette was a runaway winner at Lingfield last time and makes her first start for Adam West, while Banksy's Art made the podium on his first run for Amanda Perrett and could build on that off the same mark.
