Brian Ellison's charge romped to a six-length victory in selling company at Redcar before a running a creditable third at Haydock on Saturday, and could be the answer. Alpasu has not been in the best of form recently but has claims from the bottom of the weights nevertheless.

DELACHANCE has been hammering on the door of late, filling the runner-up spot on his last three outings, and this looks an ideal opportunity for David Simcock's gelding to strike. Isabella Ruby is arguably the pick of a poor bunch of horses with experience, so the biggest danger to the selection could turn out to be Robert Cowell's newcomer Moudallal, whose dam won over 6f and is related to a number of sprint winners.

Roger Fell has got a real tune out of Rousayan in recent weeks, with the eight-year-old winning well at Carlisle and Pontefract. He is up a total of 9lb for those two successes, though, so is opposed with RASELASAD. Tracy Waggott's gelding won on his last visit to this track last year and has been in sparkling form elsewhere recently, picking up minor money at Doncaster and Musselburgh on his last two outings. Beverley winner Luis Vaz De Torres is another to note.

Ramesses won well at Ayr two starts ago but struggled on soft ground at York last time and may need conditions to dry out. Mark Johnston's colt hasn't been the most consistent of animals this term, though he ran well for third at Sandown last time and could go well off the same mark here.

TONTO'S SPIRIT has been campaigned exclusively over obstacles in recent times, but he has earned a mark of 128 over hurdles and could prove well treated on the level off a rating of 72. Maid In Manhattan absolutely sluiced up on heavy ground at Nottingham earlier in the season and has run well in defeat the last twice so looks the main danger ahead of Cotton Club, who returned to the Flat with a good third at Bath last time.

B FIFTY TWO has kept a hectic schedule of late, running six times in the space of a month, but he showed there was plenty of life left in him yet when successful here last time. A 4lb penalty might not be enough to stop him following up. Normal Equilibrium has slipped to an attractive mark and is well worth a second glance, while North Korea is the youngster of the field so could have scope for improvement.
