Kevin Ryan has won this for the past couple of years and his Dutch Art filly GALADRIEL is of real interest returned to five furlongs, the distance she was an encouraging fourth over on debut in a York Listed event. Band Practice faced a tough task on her introduction up against a quality performer, and could have more to come here having run respectably in that Lingfield match. Say It Simple represents leading connections and any market support for Richard Fahey's filly on her racecourse debut would be interesting.
Prediction : 1st Galadriel 2nd Band Practice 3rd Say It Simple

LORD OF THE ALPS was a respectable third over course and distance last month and Mark Johnston's youngster, who has looked a handy performer so far, is expected to play a leading part here. Northern Hope was second at Musselburgh and is a must for the shortlist, while G For Gabrial appears the pick of Richard Fahey's pair having gone close off this mark at Nottingham, with any rain a positive for the Gutaifan colt's chances.
Prediction : 1st Lord Of The Alps 2nd G For Gabrial 3rd Northern Hope

SIYAHAMBA was a game winner when landing a similar contest over track and trip last month and makes plenty of appeal off only a 2lb higher rating. Mac O'Polo wasn't beaten far over this distance at Wolverhampton and is respected if repeating that form on turf, while Flower Power is just 2lb higher than when taking this 12 months ago and could be a live outsider despite some disappointing recent efforts.
Prediction : 1st Siyahamba 2nd Mac OPolo 3rd Flower Power

ARNOLD landed this 12 months ago and Ann Duffield's five-year-old has leading claims once again at a course he thrives at, having dropped to the same winning rating as last season. There is a whole host of track-and-trip winners in opposition, including East Street Review, Sheepscar Lad and Burntwood, with the latter narrowly denied by a neck here last time. Moonlit Sands was a few positions behind him before that but has since scored at Carlisle and is considered under a 5lb penalty.
Prediction : 1st Arnold 2nd Moonlit Sands 3rd Sheepscar Lad

PLATFORM NINETEEN opened his account with an emphatic eight-length success over course and distance last month and having quickly made it back-to-back victories with an equally impressive triumph at Nottingham, makes plenty of appeal looking for a quickfire hat-trick. Charlie D thrived over 2m1f at Bath so is a player in this contest, while it is foolish to rule out Jukebox Jive and Echo.
Prediction : 1st Platform Nineteen 2nd Charlie D 3rd Echo

Nigel Tinkler won this 12 months ago and has leading claims once again with NORTHERN LYTE, who has made the podium twice since scoring here over 10 furlongs last month and is of real interest dropping back to an extended mile. Consistent pair Molly Mai and One To Go have to be respected, while the latter's stablemate Dreamseller arrives in good form and with a handy track record.
Prediction : 1st Northern Lyte 2nd Dreamseller 3rd One To Go

Sumner Beach was a comfortable winner at Pontefract last week and the five-year-old seeks a quick follow-up under a 5lb penalty, while Whatwouldyouknow was another in the winner's enclosure when last seen, at Redcar last month. However, preference is for LUNA MAGIC, who has rattled the crossbar on both outings since scoring at Wolverhampton and the slight increase in distance should suit Archie Watson's in-form mare.
Prediction : 1st Luna Magic 2nd Sumner Beach 3rd Whatwouldyouknow

Ron Barr's veteran GRACEFUL ACT sprung a 25/1 surprise over 10 furlongs here last month, but should be much more popular this time and has a great chance of landing another triumph following a fair 3lb rise. C&D winner John Caesar was fifth in that contest and could prove dangerous on the revised terms, while Cosmic Ray appeals for Les Eyre.
Prediction : 1st Graceful Act 2nd John Caesar 3rd Cosmic Ray
