He would have made stronger appeal from a lower draw, however, so a chance is instead taken on MOONDROP. Dermot Weld's charge took a forward step when third over this trip at Fairyhouse last time and likely has more to offer. Any money for Ger Lyons' newcomer, Last Opportunity, would be notable.

Tony The Gent is a model of consistency and has strong claims if building on his recent 1m Killarney third over this shorter trip. For win purposes, however, LINCOLN makes more appeal. Denis Hogan's eight-year-old appeared to find an extended 5f on the sharp side when second at Sligo earlier in the month but, as a distance winner, he could relish this step up in trip. C&D winner Atlas ran creditably over hurdles recently and could also take a hand on these terms.

SILK FOREST was touched off by under a length over 1m at Limerick in April and could improve for the return to 7f, having finishing a creditable second over C&D on debut previously. Merricourt was having his first outing since November when fifth over track and trip in the spring and could feasibly take closer order, while there could be better to come from Zaamar, who shaped with promise here first time out in June.

MADHMOON signed off his juvenile campaign with a Group 2 victory over track and trip in September and has kicked on again this term, with two of his strongest performances being his 2000 Guineas fourth and Derby second at Epsom. Although he ran below that level when fourth in the Irish Derby last time, the drop to a mile could revive him and he could take all of the beating now eased in grade. Ancient Spirit, an import from Australia who is having his second start for Jim Bolger, is considered the main danger ahead of I Am Superman.

The pick of the older horses may be Agent Zigzag, who is rated 5lb higher than when striking at the Curragh on his penultimate start.

Handicap debutant Anya Ylina is improving between runs and a mark of 87 for her cosy breakthrough success at Gowran in May appears fair. Others to bear in mind in an open finale are Cuban Surfer and Innamorare.
