Incognito finished fifth in a hot race at Goodwood earlier this month, while Freyja could prove best of the newcomers.

The four-year-old would have a big chance if the rain stays away, and she appeals more than Lingfield heroine Majorette, whose 114-day absence from the track is slightly concerning. Flying Sakhee and Lady Monica are other names to take seriously.

Chetan is usually seen to better effect on the all-weather, although he did finish second at Leicester last month and would be a big player if building on that. First and second at Epsom in recent weeks, first-time blinkers and a drop in trip may help the six-year-old.

Andrew Balding's gelding has the potential for more to come as he steps up in grade and he could get the better of King Ottokar, who is respected on his third behind Sangarius at Royal Ascot, and Accidental Agent.

LUCKY NUMBER benefited from the drop to a mile when scoring on his latest start at Bath and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop the son of Dark Angel from continuing his progression. Red Gunner has placed on two of his last three outings, both of those efforts coming at Bath, and he is likely to be competitive along with Bruyere, who placed at Nottingham a fortnight ago.

LITIGIOUS confirmed the promise of her debut success at Goodwood when following up on soft ground at Chester under a penalty last month. The daughter of Lawman merits plenty of respect on her handicap bow and could prove to be well ahead of her initial rating of 91. Mannaal has progressed well through the handicap ranks, winning her last two including at Goodwood last month, and she has to enter calculations along with Sea of Faith.

LAND OF OZ has progressed well over the past few weeks, having won three races on the bounce, and the return to 1m6f is unlikely to pose any concern for Sir Mark Prescott's colt. Victoriano appreciated the drop in trip when scoring at Bath last Wednesday and is respected under a penalty, while Sandown winner Young Merlin appeals most of the remainder.
