Last Empire handles any ground and has won three of her four career starts, while Shades Of Blue is always dangerous at this level.

GLOBAL HUNTER improved on his debut victory over this trip at Windsor when following up over 1m2f at Salisbury next time out. A stiff mile here could be within his compass and unless conditions deteriorate, he rates the one to beat. Global Gift won on heavy ground at Haydock in June and decent ground at Doncaster thereafter, though he needs to leave a moderate showing at HQ well behind. Dalaalaat failed to stay 1m2f at Goodwood last time and could also bounce back to form now dropped in trip and grade.

EVA MARIA took a step in the right direction when scoring by four lengths over this trip at Thirsk last time and should remain competitive under a penalty. Others to bear in mind are the 78-rated Storting and Beethoven's Gal, an Irish import debuting for Richard Fahey.

Recent Sandown third Juanito Chico is interesting now cutting back in trip, while the booking of a useful 5lb claimer should ensure the consistent Esprit De Corps mounts another bold bid.
