Ballymacaw has some excellent form in bumpers to call on, having followed up a good second at Punchestown with victory at Kilbeggan. He is interesting on his hurdling debut, while Empire Burleque already has seven timber races under his belt and performed satisfactorily at Downpatrick last time. Shadow Seven is an interesting recruit from the Flat, but preference is for WESTMEAD. Prunella Dobbs' gelding showed little between the flags and in a NH Flat race, but was just a neck away from success at Killarney on his hurdling bow and can build on that effort here.
Prediction : 1st Westmead 2nd Ballymacaw 3rd Empire Burleque

Blackhillsofdakota was deemed good enough to contest the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in the spring and has to be of interest on his hurdling debut, but MOOLTAZEM can put his experience over obstacles to good use. Third at Kilbeggan on his second start over timber, Gordon Elliott's charge appears to be progressing along the right lines to win a race like this. Most of the others have a lot to prove after recent efforts, though Double Sixteen and Frankincense could be of some interest.
Prediction : 1st Mooltazem 2nd Blackhillsofdakota 3rd Frankincense

Tagg's Island was still in contention when unshipping his rider at Downpatrick and could go well off the same mark, while Sicario ran well enough in a handicap on the Flat off 71 to suggest his hurdling rating of 95 is exploitable. OUR ROXANE is handed the vote, though, as she got within half a length of success at Limerick last time and, on that form, appears capable of defying a 3lb rise.
Prediction : 1st Our Roxane 2nd Sicario 3rd Taggs Island

Ayr Of Elegance has claims on her best hurdling form, while Brogine came unstuck over timber at Galway latest but had secured back-to-back victories over timber prior to that. Chasing experience could prove key here, as DARLING MISS has run a pair of solid races over the larger obstacles at Roscommon, finishing second in both. Gordon Elliott's mare could put that knowhow to good use.
Prediction : 1st Darling Miss 2nd Brogine 3rd Ayr Of Elegance

October Revolution was an impressive eight-length winner at Roscommon and a 7lb rise for that effort looks fair. He is in the veteran stages of his career, though, so perhaps DEMI PLIE's younger legs can get the better of him. Padraig Roche's mare showed plenty of determination to land the spoils at Downpatrick and can follow up on her handicap debut over fences. From Eden is a model of consistency and can also go well.
Prediction : 1st Demi Plie 2nd October Revolution 3rd From Eden

LINGER was an impressive six-length winner over hurdles at the Galway Festival and followed up later in the week with an equally emphatic Flat success. He now turns his attention to the larger obstacles in a bid to complete an unusual hat-trick and seems well enough handicapped to do so. Dark Outsider has claims after going close off this mark two starts ago, while Generalisation appears to be getting the hang of things over fences and is worth a shout.
Prediction : 1st Linger 2nd Dark Outsider 3rd Generalisation

Veda's Star is interesting on her debut under Rules as she was a promising third on her sole start between the flags, but SKYACE looks the one to beat. Willie Mullins' filly followed up her debut second at Ballinrobe with a close third at Galway last time, and can gain a deserved success here. Dime A Dozen has placed on all three starts in this discipline so has to be respected for Shark Hanlon.
Prediction : 1st Skyace 2nd Dime A Dozen 3rd Vedas Star
