HEATH CHARNOCK found the step up into a conditions event too much when third at Doncaster at the start of the month but he remains capable of further progression as he switches his attentions back to handicap company. Four Wheel Drive arrives in search of a hat-trick of victories having scored at Ripon and Beverley this month, while Music Society bounced back to form at Thirsk on Friday and has to enter calculations.

CONTREBASSE had been a little frustrating prior to scoring at Haydock 12 days ago and might be worth following now that the penny has dropped. A runner-up at the same track a few weeks earlier, his recent form looks strong and the slight drop in trip from last time shouldn't be an issue given the stiff nature of this venue. A further 5lb rise doesn't look too harsh, and he can account for Navajo Pass, who appreciates testing conditions, and Beechwood Jude, who represents an in-form trainer.

The form of REMEMBER ROCKY'S Hamilton third was franked when the winner scored again at Beverley last week and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the veteran return to victorious ways at a track that he knows well. The 10-year-old doesn't have the same scope for improvement as others in the field, but arrives in good nick and won't mind whichever way the ground turns. Firewater has been running consistently well and could give him most to think about, with Carey Street another name to note.

MY UKULELE overcome a poor draw to strike at Musselburgh, before following up at Thirsk 18 days ago, and she might be tough to stop in this hat-trick bid. Mecca's Gift had an off day at Pontefract six weeks ago and could bounce back, while Sootability is another name to take seriously.
