CHIL CHIL improved markedly for the switch to handicaps last time, winning with some authority at Kempton on Wednesday. She is turned out quickly under a penalty and can follow up. Good Answer won a Bath novice event two starts ago and wasn't disgraced in handicap company latest, while Mr Buttons has been in and around the action without winning on numerous occasions of late and could be in the picture again.
Prediction : 1st Chil Chil 2nd Good Answer 3rd Mr Buttons

Cotai Again was only beaten a length at Brighton when last tried at this trip and was not too far away latest, while We're Reunited followed up a three-length second at Leicester by getting within two lengths of success at Ffos Las last time. Both have been running over further most recently, though, whereas PHUKET POWER was a close-up fourth over this track and trip last month and could be capable of landing the spoils.
Prediction : 1st Phuket Power 2nd Cotai Again 3rd Were Reunited

LETHAL TALENT ran a cracker under today's young rider to land the spoils at Kempton last time and the way she kept on over 7f suggests the extra distance here will suit. Incinerator won her maiden nicely at Catterick three starts ago but was too keen for her own good behind Walkonby when trying this trip for the first time at Salisbury latest, so a bigger danger could be Max's Thunder, who got closer to Walkonby when third behind her in a seller at Newmarket.
Prediction : 1st Lethal Talent 2nd Maxs Thunder 3rd Incinerator

Some of these runners, such as Line Of Reason and Just Glamorous, appear to be trading on past glories somewhat, though seven-year-old Harry Hurricane showed he had plenty to give when successful over C&D last month. A 3lb rise will make life more difficult for him, whereas a 7lb hike for MAID OF SPIRIT's recent success at Salisbury might not be enough. Clive Cox's filly was having only her seventh career start when scooting clear last time and has plenty of scope for improvement as a result.
Prediction : 1st Maid Of Spirit 2nd Harry Hurricane 3rd Line Of Reason

Slade King ran a respectable race in a maiden handicap at Brighton and gets another chance off the same mark, while No Dress Rehearsal has been dropped 2lb for finishing third in her maiden handicap at Pontefract last time. Verify got within a short head of a first success at Yarmouth and is considered, but ELSIE VIOLET gets the vote. Robert Eddery's filly won a handicap on fast ground at Yarmouth in June and ran a gutsy race on heavy going at Nottingham last time. She looks capable of tackling whatever is put in front of her here.
Prediction : 1st Elsie Violet 2nd No Dress Rehearsal 3rd Verify

Waterfall and Heavenly Tale followed up promising debuts with poor efforts last time, though it may be too soon to rule either of them out. Knockacullion showed his debut third at Chelmsford was no fluke when third at Kempton last time and has claims, but preference is for LUMINATION, who was a modest fifth on debut but improved considerably to take third over 10 furlongs here last time. The extra yardage looks likely to suit.
Prediction : 1st Lumination 2nd Knockacullion 3rd Waterfall

CULTURE could hardly have been more impressive when scoring by three lengths over 10 furlongs here and he looks capable of defying a 6lb rise. Dubious Affair did little wrong over slightly further at Beverley and could relish this less testing finish, while Roundhead signed off last season with back-to-back wins, but he's only been seen once since and that was when well beaten over timber in December.
Prediction : 1st Culture 2nd Dubious Affair 3rd Roundhead
