Romantic Vision is improving all the time and fellow hat-trick seeker Stone Soldier should go well on the front end. Preference, however, is for CLAN ROYALE, who struck in a C&D novice contest last month and appears on a fair mark for his nursery bow. With the William Haggas yard back amongst the winners recently, Reassure cannot be left out of calculations either.
Prediction : 1st Clan Royale 2nd Reassure 3rd Romantic Vision

David O'Meara runs five and it is hard to confidently rule out any of them, with special mentions for dual course winner Firmament and Ayr scorer Waarif, who accounted for recent Ascot scorer Kynren three weeks ago. Major Partnership should improve back up in trip, but preference is for Stuart Williams' ALEMARATALYOUM. The former Iain Jardine-trained gelding won on his first attempt over a mile for these connections at Goodwood and a 7lb rise is fair.
Prediction : 1st Alemaratalyoum 2nd Waarif 3rd Firmament

ABSTEMIOUS can bounce back with softer underfoot conditions to suit having disappointed in the Gimcrack on good to firm. That clearly wasn't his running, and he won impressively with cut in the ground here the time before. Rosa won in good style on her debut at Kempton 10 days ago and warrants respect, along with Spirit Of The Sky, a winner at Nottingham last Wednesday. The newcomer Minhaaj could be worth a second look in the betting market.
Prediction : 1st Abstemious 2nd Rosa 3rd Spirit Of The Sky

HAMISH improved plenty for the step up in trip when landing the Melrose over C&D at the Ebor meeting on his handicap debut and, on his fifth career outing, remains open to further progression off a 6lb higher mark. Connections had voiced their concern about fast ground prior to that effort so conditions on this occasion could see him take another step forward. Elysian Flame (third) and Moon King (fourth) contested a competitive handicap at Haydock last month and appear the main threats.
Prediction : 1st Hamish 2nd Elysian Flame 3rd Moon King

A fiercely competitive dash for which the tentative selection is the consistent MOSS GILL. His course second to Que Amoro, who has since placed in Listed company to frank the form, reads well and a recent 2lb rise appears workable. C&D winner Holmeswood is back in good order and looks well treated on his course win for Michael Dods two years ago. The reliable Only Spoofing and Music Society, who chases a hat-trick, are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Moss Gill 2nd Music Society 3rd Holmeswood

16:55 York

YOSHIMI boasts a solid level of form having just been denied in a nursery at Ayr's Western meeting last month. Rated 85, the son of Dream Ahead appears capable of successfully giving weight to all of his rivals. Arch Moon arrives on the back of two decent efforts, most notably when second at Ayr, and he can enter the reckoning along with newcomer La Foglietta, who is a half-sister to a Listed winner, and Sword Beach.
Prediction : 1st Yoshimi 2nd Arch Moon 3rd La Foglietta

17:30 York

FLYING PURSUIT seldom runs a bad race here and should love this ground now upped in trip after finishing with a flourish when third at Ripon two weeks ago. Tim Easterby's charge is 9lb below his last winning mark and could get a nice pace to aim at. King Of Tonga is slowly improving for David O'Meara and should be able to win a race soon, while Mogsy shed his maiden tag at Catterick 20 days ago and is noted.
Prediction : 1st Flying Pursuit 2nd King Of Tonga 3rd Mogsy
