Miss Honey Ryder was twice a winner in bumpers last season and wasn't disgraced when pitched into Grade 3 company at Punchestown in the spring. However, a chance is taken on WHITEHOTCHILLIFILI, who beat a useful cast when impressing on debut at Southwell last December and the form of her subsequent outings can't be sniffed at. She was down the field in Aintree's Grade 2 bumper for mares, but mixed it with some handy operators at Listed level before that at Sandown and has the class to play a leading role in this contest. Lunar Baby is entitled to appreciate the switch to hurdling, with Rules debutant Rarest Diamond worthy of a market check having joined Colin Tizzard.

ENNISTOWN's best should be enough to see him make a return to the winners' enclosure here and the useful nine-year-old has been in good form this year. He lost little in defeat the last twice and before that had notched two wins on the bounce, beating the Grade 1-winning hurdler Pingshou by seven lengths at Newton Abbot in July. King Alfonso was an impressive eight-length winner over hurdles last month and is respected switching back to fences, with the closely matched course-and-distance winner Candy Burg also of interest.

TIDAL FLOW displayed a fair amount of promise in novice hurdles last season, winning his first two starts at Kempton and Newbury, and Philip Hobbs' gelding appeals as making into a better chaser with the stable amongst the winners of late. Momella failed to recover from a fall at Newbury on her first run for Harry Fry last November, but she boasts some good novice form and has the scope to do well in this sphere. Poker Play and Sensulano are others to note in a competitive event.

MONSIEUR LECOQ was deemed good enough to run in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham in March and remains open to plenty of improvement for Jane Williams. The five-year-old has a bit to find on bare form with the likes of Clyne and Beltor, but he has shown a liking for testing ground conditions and could improve past the pair under promising 5lb conditional Chester Williams. Le Prezien was frustrating to follow last season but finished an excellent second in this 12 months ago, while Mohaayed is interesting given that he has already had a run.

Smuggler's Blues scored on his final start last season when edging home at Bangor-on-Dee and probably sets the form standard, but BENI LIGHT has match sharpness on his side, having raced three times in the last five weeks, and could take some stopping. Second the last twice, he should appreciate this step back up in distance and soft ground won't bother him either. Joueur Bresilien was frustrating to follow last season but might do better after a long break.

ONE FINE MAN gets the vote to make a winning debut for a stable that do well with their bumper runners. A 110,000-euro purchase last year, the four-year-old is related to a few nice types and could take this before having a successful future over obstacles. Rebecca Curtis has her string in good order and point-to-point winner Oscar Asche also makes plenty of appeal, while Induno, second on debut at Warwick in April, completes the list of likely contenders.
