NORTH STAR OSCAR was given a patient ride to score at Worcester three weeks ago and could take some stopping here. Harry Teal's 3lb claim helps to offset some of the damage done by the assessor (risen 8lb), and this five-year-old has scope for further improvement. Fifth Symphony has had a wind operation and ran well here 11 months ago, while Passam also warrants plenty of respect on his return to action.
Prediction : 1st North Star Oscar 2nd Fifth Symphony 3rd Passam

SAM SPINNER took a while to get going when beating a solid yardstick in the shape of Beakstown on his chase debut here and could thrive now tackling further. A Grade 1 winner over timber, and second in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, he will have learnt plenty from that experience 16 days ago and is worth following. Ardlethen beat Lisnagar Oscar last month in this sphere at Chepstow, while first-time blinkered Senor Lombardy also merits some consideration.
Prediction : 1st Sam Spinner 2nd Ardlethen 3rd Senor Lombardy

Crealion won in France on his last start for old connections five months ago and is interesting on stable debut for Tom George, while Zeb Spirit was travelling well when coming to grief three-out here last month and wears a first-time hood now. Preference, though, is for Dan Skelton's LANGER DAN. A cosy winner at Ludlow 23 days ago, the three-year-old lacks Flat experience but seems to jump accurately and has plenty of scope for improvement.
Prediction : 1st Langer Dan 2nd Zeb Spirit 3rd Crealion

BORN SURVIVOR has a fine record on his seasonal return, his form figures read 1211, and despite a career-high rating of 152, Dan Skelton's gelding is taken to defy top-weight in his attempt to win this contest for the second year in succession. Happy Diva achieved a good level of form last term, beating subsequent Grand National runner-up Magic Of Light in a strong Listed event at Huntingdon, and she is respected along with the consistent Guitar Pete.
Prediction : 1st Born Survivor 2nd Happy Diva 3rd Guitar Pete

FLEGMATIK won over C&D on his UK debut for Dan Skelton last December, before disappointing on his subsequent outing at Warwick. He has since had a wind operation to aid his cause and an opening mark of 128 could prove to be fair. Dyliev was extremely consistent throughout last season, finishing in the first two on her last six starts, and she can enter the reckoning along with Aristo Du Plessis, who is well handicapped and might improve for having had wind surgery.
Prediction : 1st Flegmatik 2nd Dyliev 3rd Aristo Du Plessis

KERRKENNY GOLD's second in a Galway bumper last October has worked out well, with the winner, Abacadabras, going on to be one of the leading bumper performers last season, and he was subsequently sold for 60,000 pounds to Olly Murphy at the Cheltenham November sale. Shan Blue finished third to a well-regarded type of Nicky Henderson's at Warwick in March, while Redford Road and Dhowin are others worthy of consideration.
Prediction : 1st Kerrkenny Gold 2nd Shan Blue 3rd Redford Road
