Coup De Gold looks like the one for third.

Dancing Leopard made an encouraging beginning to her nursery career when third over 6f here, doing her best work at the finish to suggest that this extra furlong will be right up her street. Even so, a chance is taken on RULERS KINGDOM because the choicely-bred son of Shamardal goes handicapping off a decent mark and there was a bit more to like about his latest C&D effort. Fansurper is another to consider on his first foray into this sphere, with Bendy Spirit respected too.

It is definitely surprising that ASMUND still retains his maiden tag but he has picked up his fair share of minor money and is worthy of an official rating of 83. Karl Burke reaches for the cheekpieces and, unless Charlie Hills' Dandy Man newcomer Tommy de Vito is anything out of the ordinary, he should be able to finally break through. Lincoln Gamble has shown ability at Redcar and Pontefract, and is interesting if improving for the switch to the all-weather.

Auckland Lodge has won half of her six career outings, including her last two at Catterick, but her hat-trick ambitions could be thwarted by HE'S A LADDIE. The Archie Watson-trained colt was just ahead of the subsequently disappointing Dazzling Des when runner-up at Chelmsford and he will take some catching. Moving to an artificial surface helped Get Boosting and Holloa break through on their latest outings, while Baltic State didn't do badly at all on his first AW try and must also be respected.

Cawthorne Lad banished a Ripon mishap to the memory when returning to score at Musselburgh, and Jazz Hands also arrives in winning form following a clear-cut Southwell success. Uncle Charlie has made the frame on his last couple of appearances and it won't be long before he gets his head in front again but CORKED almost defied a 5lb rise when attempting to complete a 1m2f double here, and the drop in distance shouldn't inconvenience her.

SEARANGER has just one win to his name in nearly two years, but he served notice that his turn is imminent with a narrow defeat in a similar event at Wolverhampton and is fancied to go one better. The son of Kyllachy cost 150,000gns as a yearling but didn't see a racecourse until the autumn of his three-year-old career. Charlie Hills' patience was rewarded, though, with his gelding showing off an impressive turn of foot to dispose of some well-regarded opponents. He can make it two from two now, with Wings Of Dubai preferred to Hunters Step for the runner-up spot.

Laura Pearson got a good tune out of Herringswell at Yarmouth, with Henry Spiller's filly strolling to an emphatic success. However, she is 6lb higher and yet to fire on the all-weather so is passed over in favour of THE BULL, who has been running really well in defeat at this venue and has slipped to an attractive mark. Independence Day has shown more signs of life from late-summer onwards and also warrants a place on the shortlist.
