ANDY DUFRESNE had been a 'talking horse' during the winter and justified his lofty reputation on his debut under Rules at Down Royal in January, easily landing a bumper by 10 lengths. The five-year-old has been looked after by his connections, missing the major spring festivals, and could be a force to be reckoned with in the months and years to come. Cobbler's Way landed a NH Flat race at Limerick over Christmas and is another to follow, while Eden Flight is an obvious contender given his connections, despite a 756-day layoff.

A PLUS TARD looked to have plenty of natural speed when landing the Close Brothers Novices' Handicap Chase at Cheltenham in March and could appreciate a first try over 2m for Henry de Bromhead. The five-year-old wasn't disgraced when thrown into Grade 1 company over 3m at Punchestown, but could be really exciting to follow this season over shorter distances. Duc Des Genievres won the Arkle at Cheltenham and will appreciate the likely ground conditions, while Hardline could prove good enough for third ahead of Ballyoisin.

Off You Go signed off last season by running with credit twice in Grade 2 company and, like fellow JP McManus representative Fakir D'Oudairies, who was fourth in the Supreme, he's a talented hurdler to monitor in the betting now tackling the larger obstacles.
