SKEAPING has a good record in this grade, which includes his victory over 2m at this track last month, and the six-year-old makes the most appeal in this moderate contest. Todd hit the crossbar over 2m7f at this venue when last seen and he is clearly the main threat to the selection. Harbour Force edges out Cryogenics to be the pick of the remainder. Prediction : 1st Skeaping 2nd Todd 3rd Harbour Force

CHEQUERED VIEW was unfortunate to bump into a well-handicapped rival last time out but she had previously won impressively at Worcester and the daughter of Passing Glance can be given another chance this afternoon. Black Tulip is on a workable mark and she's entitled to improve for her recent seasonal debut, while Carnspindle and Ratoute Yutty both have questions to answer having been pulled up last time out. Prediction : 1st Chequered View 2nd Black Tulip 3rd Carnspindle

Eva's Diva has been running well in defeat of late and she has to be respected on her handicap debut, although an opening mark of 110 is high enough. With that in mind, the preference is for HIGHLAND BOBBY, who was not disgraced when finishing third in a more competitive race than this at Uttoxeter last time out. Others to note are Cold Fusion and Paricolor. Prediction : 1st Highland Bobby 2nd Evas Diva 3rd Paricolor

IMPERIAL AURA was a real eye-catcher when a creditable third in Chepstow's Silver Trophy last month and Kim Bailey's six-year-old, who was twice a winner over hurdles last season, looks a chaser in the making. His handler has found him the perfect opening to begin life over the larger obstacles and the form of that Chepstow contest looks strong, with the second already making a successful transition to fencing. Parsonal was pulled up on his first run in 307 days at Huntingdon earlier this month but is likely to be sharper for that pipe-opener, while Positive Touch was a winner in the pointing field in February and is making his first Rules appearance since 2016. Prediction : 1st Imperial Aura 2nd Parsonal 3rd Positive Touch

MASTER VINTAGE made it back-to-back victories with an emphatic 13-length success at Huntingdon last week and it would be no surprise if the thriving veteran landed a hat-trick under a 7lb penalty. Paddy's Poem was a winner at the same venue on his final outing of last season and the consistent performer has to be taken seriously, while Defi Sacre and Cesar Du Gouet can compete for the final podium position. Prediction : 1st Master Vintage 2nd Paddys Poem 3rd Cesar Du Gouet

VIKING RUBY built on a useful second at Wincanton to get on the scoresheet at Taunton last month and having enjoyed that first try at three miles, Neil Mulholland's six-year-old could take plenty of beating here. Taras Day is a solid operator and her Southwell appearances this summer command respect, while Lassana Angel continues to see her mark fall and that may help the five-year-old bounce back to her best. Prediction : 1st Viking Ruby 2nd Taras Day 3rd Lassana Angel
