Off You Go developed into a classy hurdler last term and will relish the rise in trip after starting back in the Navan contest fought out by Fakir D'Oudairies and Melon. Captain Cj, Brace Yourself and Mormon are also considered.

Noel Meade's mare has taken well to fences and had Moskovite behind her when beating all bar the classy Tintangle at Clonmel. Fiveaftermidnight had Ask Heather back in third when springing a Naas surprise, but couldn't back that performance up at Punchestown earlier in the week.

DUCA DE THAIX was triumphant in this contest last year before defying a 10lb rise in the Dan Moore, since when he has been campaigned in either Listed or Graded company, twice sitting at the top table. He isn't up to that standard, but this test is a completely different proposition and he seems to go particularly well at Fairyhouse. Fellow Gigginstown representative Mind's Eye is back to the mark off which he took fifth at the Dublin Racing Festival, and should step forward from his latest Limerick outing, when Kildorrery was just behind him. Avenir D'Une Vie is interesting on his first appearance for Gordon Elliott.

Fan Fan La Tulipe was impressive in a French maiden but that came back in the summer of 2018, although Willie Mullins is more than adept at readying one after an absence. Joshua Webb won a Navan bumper stylishly, while You Raised Me Up was smart in that sphere and has taken well to hurdling. Whirling Dervish is interesting if he can bring his Flat quality to the table but this can go to SEMPO, who was an excellent sixth in the Champion Bumper and is bred to come into own now he goes jumping.

GOLD SPEED, who was once second to the Grade 1-winning Felix Desjy in a bumper, made it two wins on the bounce when thriving on his hurdles debut at Galway last month. He can make it a hat-trick here at the expense of Kalanisi Og, who rates as the main danger having obliged favourite backers when odds-on at Clonmel last time. Definite Plan was only a neck away from back-to-back victories when second to the useful Battle Of Midway over course and distance earlier this month and is another for the shortlist.

JUKEBOX JIVE was a winner on the Flat at Naas earlier this month on his first outing for Gavin Cromwell and the five-year-old could take plenty of beating if transferring that form to hurdles off what looks a handy mark. Stablemate Lucky Road wasn't disgraced when looking for a four-timer at Punchestown and strengthens the hand of the Champion Hurdle-winning handler, while Lily's Gem was only beaten a neck on a raiding mission to Carlisle last time and has to be taken seriously.

Willie Mullins has won two of the four renewals of this and holds a strong hand with his stable newcomer Appreciate It, who transferred to the Closutton handler following a win in the pointing field in March, while Eskylane is another to impress between the flags and could be the pick of Gordon Elliott's trio. Joseph O'Brien won this last season and his Assemble may be the best of the two Gigginstown-owned runners. However, PORT STANLEY got close to both Envoi Allen and Abacadabras in bumpers last season and could prove a class above his rivals in this.
