Malystic was a decent operator in bumpers but after jumping the first awkwardly on debut at Market Rasen, he unshipped his rider at the third. He will have to convince more with his jumping before being a betting proposition, so AVOID DE MASTER gets the vote. David Dennis' charge was disappointing last time, but his previous third at Hereford reads well and he's a safe conveyance over timber. No Regrets could build on his hurdling debut at Hexham and is another to note.

GEMOLOGIST is no stranger to this track, having run here for the last five outings on the Flat and over hurdles. Her second off just 2lb lower last time looks good as she pulled 13 lengths clear of the third and she can strike. Lady Samback has been dropped 1lb for a decent enough effort at Carlisle latest and could be a danger, though the biggest threat may be Wise Coco, who won at Perth in September and showed she could act off her current mark when third at Carlisle last time.

CHANCEANOTHERFIVE won with any amount in hand over timber last time and gets a chance to score off the same mark over the larger obstacles here. Eagle Ridge ran well for third over a shorter trip last month and could go well if he stays, while Nabraska is an interesting Irish raider and Emirat De Catana is back down to the same mark as when successful over timber at Perth in the spring.

HEY BOB wasn't at his best at Hexham last time out, but the seven-year-old can be forgiven one bad run while his dominant Sedgefield success remains fresh in the memory. Blooriedotcom should be able to at least make the frame in a race of this nature and he joins Life Knowledge on the shortlist. The latter had a spin on the level last time and boasts some hurdles form which gives him a squeak.

PERCY B SHELLEY won a Gowran claimer on the level in May and, since reverting to hurdles in recent months, has shaped with enough promise to suggest he can exploit a mark of 101. Veiled Secret has finished runner-up on two of his last three starts and is noted, while Titus Bolt is entitled to have improved for his reappearance at Kelso and should also be in there pitching.

BENNY'S SECRET took a step forward from his return at Kelso when scoring over C&D last month and the nine-year-old could have more to offer on his sixth outing over the larger obstacles. The Road Home was going well when unseating in the aforementioned contest and could prove the main threat with a clear round, while Im Too Generous may be in the mix after an impressive display here over hurdles last Monday.

DEMOCRATIC OATH warrants a huge amount of respect on his racecourse debut as he travels over from Ireland for Gordon Elliott, who boasts a 50 percent strike-rate in bumpers at the course (3-6), and has the assistance of Richard Johnson in the saddle. Blueskyandsunshine cost 90,000 pounds at the Goffs Land Rover sale in June 2018 and has a strong National Hunt pedigree, while Broadstruther and Minnimo appeal most of the remainder.
