The seven-year-old clearly appreciates these conditions, and is fancied to prove too strong for Rizzardo, who just bumped into a well-handicapped type at Warwick four weeks ago. Veteran Broughtons Rhythm might prove best of the remainder.

CHIRICO VALLIS had dropped to a tempting mark before striking at Ludlow 10 days ago and could go in again for Neil Mulholland and Richie McLernon under a 7lb penalty. The seven-year-old has more scope than Never Equalled, who has been around the block but showed a nice attitude to score at Ffos Las when last seen. The rest have much to find, but perhaps Be My Sea can prove best of them under excellent 5lb claimer Ben Jones.

Velkera wasn't at her best on a testing terrain at Market Rasen last time out and might just come unstuck in similar sort of ground once more, and it could be worth taking a chance on Donald McCain's WHITEOAK FLEUR. The six-year-old finished third behind the talented Floressa at Worcester in October, and probably sets the form standard on that. She should appreciate this step up in trip and prove too strong for the likes of Fforbidden Love and Castlegrace Rose.

WENCESLAUS is holding his form well at present, over both hurdles and fences, and he returns to the larger obstacles off 6lb higher than when scoring by six lengths in this sphere at Plumpton in October.
