Preference, though, is for DUBAI DAYS, who was third in a hot Ayr bumper last month. He handles varying ground conditions and is open to more improvement on his second outing for his new stable.

MASTERS APPRENTICE ran a huge race under a penalty here when second behind a talented winner last month and would be tough to stop if running to that sort of level once more. Mark Walford's charge makes plenty of appeal on his handicap debut off 115 and is fancied to improve beyond that mark by the end of the winter. Gennady wasn't at his best at Musselburgh last time but is respected on his penultimate Kelso success, while Jackson Hill could also land a share of the pot.

AGAMEMMON ran with real credit when second over C&D on his first outing of the winter last month and Henry Oliver's seven-year-old can go one better off the same rating. Track-and-trip winner Boric ran over a distance much too short on his reappearance at Carlisle and could be capable of getting involved off his current rating. Crank Em Up boasts some handy course experience and is respected, while Justforjames represents last season's winning handler Micky Hammond and could also figure.

Point winner MINELLA TRUMP left a taking impression when obliging for favourite backers on his Rules debut here last month and the 90,000 pounds recruit could have more to offer now stepping up in trip. Tara Mill is worth keeping an eye on now having his first run for Sam England, while Do Not Disturb returned from almost a year off to beat Pogue on his hurdling bow at Kelso and is also afforded plenty of respect.

CALIVIGNY romped to a 12-length victory on heavy ground at Ayr when seen over hurdles and that outing is likely to have set the 10-year-old up perfectly for a return to fences here off what looks a winnable figure. Twasn't The Plan has been rattling the crossbar with regularity this year and has to be taken seriously, as does C&D winner Instant Replay, who lowers his sights after contesting a 0-130 at Kelso.

WEE GOLDIE has shaped nicely in both bumper appearances so far and could better his Carlisle third last month to land the spoils here. Not much separated Elusive Red (third) and Yorvik (fourth) when they met at the aforementioned venue 25 days ago and both command respect, while Irish raider Western Run heads the list of newcomers, with Pollyamorous, Universal Folly and Artic Mann others worthy of a market check first time out.
